Willem's time with Allyson ticks by much too quickly for his taste. They get by on hour long phone calls and meeting up for the weekends. He is busy with plays and she is busy with school but both of them know that they will never be too busy for each other.
He doesn't care what it takes, he will not lose Allyson again. She was the Yael to his Bram. She is everything that matters.
They meet up at his place for the weekend. He has a small apartment in the city. It does not matter how far Allyson travels to get to him, she never seems tired when she arrives at his flat. The excitement of seeing her again makes Willem anxious and everyone at rehearsals can tell when she comes to visit. He is overjoyed before she comes and distant when she departs.
Willem knows that he is Allyson's. It is irrevocable. He no longer flirts with other girls, for the one that truly matters keeps his heart with her when she goes.
The ring in his pocket feels heavy when he sees her again. He wants to ask her the question but knows it's too soon. They had just found each other again but Willem had never been more sure of anything in his life.
When he accidentally asks the question after an unbelievable night with her, he isn't even embarrassed. When she says yes and tears start to form in her eyes, he kisses her.
Willem doesn't know much about serious relationships or getting married but for Allyson he's willing to try. And somehow that makes all the difference.
