Ch:37

The Beginning of New Endings

"Of course it matters-" Bonnie said looking ready to argue but when I turned my eyes towards her, her argument seemed to fall on her lips.

I raised an eyebrow and held my hand out as if to say 'please continue what you have to say' but she remained silent.

I sighed before walking over to the Martin family.

Their bodies seemed to pulse the closer I moved towards them before they were practically vibrating with energy.

I raised my hand over them humming in satisfaction before looking up at Bonnie and Ivy. "It's almost time…"

"Almost time?"

"She means their almost done cooking." Ivy said rolling her eyes at Bonnie.

I snickered. "Interesting wording..."

"But…she's not wrong…" Bonnie trailed off

"No…she's not wrong." I said staring at her evenly.

Bonnie shook her head. "How?"

I grinned at her as my eyes flashed. "Magic."

"But how?"

"Are you really sure you want to know? Considering your penchant for black and white judgement I'm sure you won't like it if she tells you what this recipe particular required." Ivy said shuddering slightly.

"Again Bonnie, Ivy has a point." I said evenly.

Bonnie shuddered before seemingly collecting herself. "Why am I here?"

I cocked my head. "To welcome you brothers and sisters home…"

Bonnie remained silent and I took that as she was done speaking.

"Ivy, Bonnie join me this is something that should be watched with front row seats." I said as I watched the bodies.

They both moved to my sides respectively.

"What's next?" Ivy asked, and I watched with a smile as the crystal we had collected so long ago returned to its original color signifying the fact it was no empty before it cracked.

"We watch."

No sooner than the words left my mouth the golden strands seem to freeze in the slow cycling before speeding up making them now resemble three golden tornadoes of power.

All at once the three chrysalis fell to the floor. Bonnie and Ivy jumped in surprise, but I wasn't the lest bit concerned instead watching as the tornados seemed to thin out before finally leaving three standing bodies of the Martian's though not exactly the faces that they wore last.

The female was the first to awaken as I knew she would, but the males were only seconds behind her. I smiled at them. "Welcome back to the land of the living."

The three snickered.

"Who are these people and why are they naked?" I heard Bonnie whisper as I stepped closer to the three looking over each of them not at all bothered by their nudity.

"They…are the Martin's?" Ivy said unsure making Bonnie make some sort of strangled sound in the back of her throat.

"Faye who are theses people and why are they naked?!" Bonnie asked now directly asked me.

"They are the Martin's" I said as walked over towards to the side revealing a chalice filled with my blood.

I handed it to Jonas watching as he wordlessly drank from the cup before passing it to Luka and then finally Greta.

As Greta finished the last of the blood the air seemed to warm, and I watched as the black tendrils the still littered the room shot forward and wrapped around them.

My smile stretched as some of the tendrils formed clothing while the last of it formed fine calligraphy like tattoos on different parts of their body.

Jonas on his right arm like a sort of tribal half sleeve, Luka his across his chest while Greta's seemed rest on her shoulder blade though a part of it dipped downed her arm.

"Are you seriously trying to tell me that one of these guys is Luka?" Bonnie asked with clear disbelief.

I turned away from the family that seemed to check over each other. It was after all the first time that they had seen each other in the flesh for quite a bit of time.

"I'm not sure what you are finding so hard to believe…"

"Ivy?"

Ivy frowned her nose twitching as she stared at the Martin's. "They smell like the Martin's…but now also like Faye…it's hard to explain."

I hummed. "As I've already said they are the Martin's. The spell I used brought them back from the dead yes, but it also restored them to the prime…for Jonas-" I said pointing at the male who looked to be in his late twenties or early thirties compared to the others who weren't any older than 25, his dark brown eyes that were no longer hidden by glasses snapping up at the mention of his name to look over Faye with respect and devotion, "that would mean restoring his youth."

Bonnie and Ivy blinked shocked when Jonas nodded his head towards them before turning back to watch his children who seemed to be bickering over who's tattoo was better.

I pointed to Luka next since he was standing directly next to Jonas. "For Luka that would mean maturing his body."

Luka like Jonas glanced up only he flashed Bonnie a grin before winking at her. Luka had aged rather nicely his body filled out with defined muscles his eyes unlike his father seemed to have brightened with age making them resemble caramel candies. And his voice…

"Hello Bonnie…" Luka said his voice like velvet to the ears.

My lip twitched when I heard Bonnie breath catch as a slight blush coated her cheeks.

"Luka."

I watched as Greta rolled her eyes before I moved on to her. Greta didn't grow in height like the men but her body seemed to make a few adjustments, her hair was longer and curlier and she seemed to shed the last bit of baby fat from her face. Her eyes sharp and just as dark and lovely as her fathers. "Greta was somewhat closer to her prime, so she is the closest to her previous form. "Greta this is Bonnie Bennett and Ivy who I'm sure you are familiar with?"

She nodded and flashed the two a smile while throwing up the peace sign before turning back to her family.

"I'm sure if you look pasted their physical appearance you will see it too, their bodies might have changed but their eyes are the windows to their souls." I said as I watched as Bonnie took all this information in.

I left her to her thoughts as I turned to the family of witches.

"Jonas, Greta and Luka Martis…" I called to them, each turning towards me with attention.

"I'm glad that your transition was satisfactory though there wasn't a doubt in my mind that it wouldn't be. You have been reborn, granted a new life by me as your old life lead you astray whether it be serving vampires or hybrids but like the phoenix you too shall rise from the ashes of your previous selves and emerge…" I said with a smile.

"You are favored by Mars," I said looking at them flashing a winning smile. "You have dauntless bravery, unrivaled ruthless strength, you are courageous and bold…although each of you having you own penchant for violence, cruelty and chaos. You are the muscle of my line the raw unyielding and unforgiving strength. I am glad to welcome you back home."

Greta was the first to make a move. She took a step towards me before bowing her head.

"I speak for my family to say we are glad to be connected to you once more. We want nothing more than to serve the new order."

I smiled as I walked towards her before hugging her.

She clutched me tighter letting out a deep sigh before releasing me and walking back towards her family.

"Now that you have reconnected to me, you will need to start practicing your magic. Be warned you magic level will not be as they were I'm sure even now you are feeling the difference."

I smiled when they nodded.

"You are now an active line, which means your family powers will now also be active and accessible to you." I gave each of them a meaning full look. "You will need to retrain yourselves heavily but I'm sure that will be no problem for you."

"Not at all my lady." Jonas said taking a step towards me. "I started teaching them magic the moment they could talk and training them the moment they could walk, I can do it again."

"I don't doubt that Jonas." I said with a smile. "But know that as the warriors of my branch you'll find that you'll be faster and stronger than ordinary witches and warlocks, regular training methods will have to be adjusted and your entire family will need to relocate to an isolated area until your training is complete but, I will speak with you in greater detail later."

He nodded and took a step back.

"And as for Greta." I said looking at her. "You will particularly discover what the Martis women were known for I'm sure quite soon, when the time comes, do not be afraid to seek me out I will help you hone that particular skill."

Greta's eyes glimmered with excitement s she nodded.

I looked at Ivy and she immediately stepped to my side. "Go with the Martis family, make sure they are not seen."

"To where exactly?"

I shrugged. "They may go back to their old residence if they wish as their deaths were never recorded. Help them pack."

Ivy nodded as I looked at Jonas. "I'm sure I can leave finding a secure and desolate location to you?"

He nodded. "Yes, I know of a few places in the mountains we could go that would be perfect for training."

"Good." I said with that Jonas and Greta began to make their way out of the speaking with Ivy.

I smirked when Luka spared Bonnie a long glance. "Don't worry Luka you'll be seeing bon bon again."

He smiled his cheeks tinting pink before nodding and glancing at Bonnie almost shyly "Looking forward to seeing you again Bonnie."

"Bye Luka." she whispered back as she watched him hurry out after his family before turning towards me. "What do you plan to do now?"

"I'm glad you asked. Currently, Klaus is holding me hostage."

"What?"

"Yes." I said with a nod and a smirk "Or at least I'm letting him think he is. You think if he really had full control over the situation that I would even be able to be here?"

"Touché"

"Now, from what I gathered Klaus had a spell on him that locked his werewolf side away."

"Not anymore, Greta was able to break the curse."

I smiled. "Of curse she was. Now let's take a look at this curse in depth and its requirements. The curse was old as old as him."

"It required a vampire, a werewolf, the blood of a doppelgänger and was tied to the moonstone and needed a strong witch to break the spell. What I can't understand is why such a spell was needed in the first place."

I shrugged. "Klaus was born with the werewolf gene and then turned into a vampire…he's a true hybrid, things that are different are often feared you should know that by now."

"But that was still no reason to put a curse someone." Bonnie frowned. "If nature truly had a problem with Klaus being a hybrid then he wouldn't have survived the transition in the first place. That witch…the one who cursed him was complexly out of line and it's her fault that so many innocent people have been killed by him in his pursuit to break the curse."

I smiled at Bonnie with pride. "I agree, and I couldn't have said it better myself. Be that as it may, I think there's even more to this curse than just restricting his werewolf gene."

"What do you mean?"

"When I spoke with Klaus, he confided in me with something very personal. He wants to make hybrids like himself." I said evenly.

Bonnie seemed shocked. "What, why?"

"Well it's only natural for a wolf to want a pack, right? And yes, I'm sure that his family are very much his pack, but they aren't like him, now are they?"

"He doesn't want to be alone." She said softly. "That's what this whole thing amounts too, he doesn't want to be alone and misunderstood."

I nodded. "Yes, that is what Klaus wants ultimately."

"However," I said a frown making it way to my face. "There's something wrong with that curse that I just don't understand. Why doppelgänger blood?"

Bonnie frowned. "I…I don't know."

"That's something we need to work on finding out, I have a bad feeling that this witch's spell is a tad bit nastier than what we suspect."

"Ok, I'll look into my grimoires…are you going back to playing prisoner?"

I smiled. "You know me so well."

She groaned. "Does Stefan know?"

My smile widened as my eyes twinkled mischievously. "He will…"

She groaned louder. "He's not going to like that."

I shrugged. "He doesn't like much of what I do, but my actions keep the ones I love safe."

With that Bonnie and I went our separate ways.

I rolled my eyes as I lounged in my cage watching as Klaus strutted in two days later. He reminded me a male peacock spreading his feathers to seek female attention…if only he was that appealing.

Stefan had come in search of Klaus but found me and Katherine instead and although he didn't give a damn about Katherine he looked ready to actually strangle me.

"What are you doing here?!" He had practically spat at me smacking Katherine's hands away from his throat to walk towards me.

"It's all part of my plan." I said smiling at him only to make his eyes narrow.

"I told you to stay." Stefan said, and I huffed as he dared to try and make me feel guilty.

"No, you didn't you told me that you would be back. I never said that I would stay."

Before Stefan could get another word out Katherine had plastered him to the wall as Klaus and Elijah strolled in.

"Good Morning love." Klaus grinned at me, I ignored Klaus who turned to share words with Stefan in favor of Elijah who seemed shocked to see me.

I flashed him a wide grin. "Lijah!"

"Faye, what are you doing here?" Elijah asked me with a frown.

"Your brother is an ass."

"My brother is holding you hostage?"

I shrugged. "He has somehow diluted himself into thinking that were friends or something, but I'd go with or something."

Elijah's frown deepened and turned to no doubt question his younger brother but instead let out a pain filled howl as Klaus shoved the dagger into his chest, whispering sweet nothings to him before dropping him like a hot potato when he finished desiccating.

I sighed when Klaus looked up at me with a mischievous smirk as if we didn't just watch him dagger his own brother.

"Now, where were we?" He cooed before turning his eyes towards Stefan.

"Right then…" He flashed in front of him pinning Stefan to the wall by his throat before chuckling at him. "What am I going to do with you?..."

And so began the cat and mouse game between Klaus and Stefan.

Stefan had just finished his bag of blood when I heard it.

No no no…their angry at me for coming back here…they don't want to help…

I frowned at the sound of Bonnie's painfilled voice. I pressed a hand to my stomach as I felt a tug. I glanced towards Stefan and Klaus to see the two staring at me both wearing a frown.

Klaus's lips were moving and yet I didn't hear a single word, my eyes moved towards Stefan.

Familiar summoning symbols etched in blood appeared in my peripheral…and as I reached out to touch them the vibrant red color seemed to pulse before slowly turning into slivers of silver.

The pain in my stomach tightened as if someone was playing a one-sided tug of war before seemingly the cord was cut.

"Bonnie…" Was the only word I said before I fainted.

Bonnie's pov

"Emily…" Bonnie cried out only to be met with silence.

"Emily please, I know you're there…"

"Please help me…" Bonnie begged only to get no response.

"Emily will not help you…not this time." Bonnie turned immediately to the side upon hearing a female's voice.

"Greta, what are you doing here?" She asked in confusion and the older girl gave a tired yet saddened smile even as her eyes moved to Jeremy's body.

Bonnie's arms tightened around him as Greta's gaze lingered. "What are you doing here Greta?"

Bonnie blinked as he took in her surroundings, one minute she had been in the old abandoned house and the next seemingly a temple. "Where am I? How did I get here?"

"We are in a place between worlds, neither the living nor dead, I consider this place like purgatory but I sure it has a true name. I brought you here to speak with you via astro projection. This is temple is for Faye of course built by the Martis family."

"How were you able to bring me here?"

"We're both bonded to Faye, and current heads of our house it really wasn't that hard if you know the spell."

"Head of house?" Bonnie asked confused by the terminology.

"The head of house, clan, line, they all mean the same thing. The Martis line, the Bennett line we both serve under Faye as the heads."

"How do you know this?"

Greta gave her a pitiful look. "I forget that Sheila neglected to raise you properly."

Bonnie bristled at that. "My grams raised me just fine thank you very much."

"Not when she didn't teach you or ways or hell even the basics of your birthright of magic." Greta snipped right back before taking a deep calming breath. She wasn't here to fight with the young Bennet heiress. "It is common knowledge among all witches especially leaders that daughters are raised to be the leaders of the line and the son's soldiers. Witches know leaders upon sight, leaders have a very distinctive aura…especially when tied to a deity. To attack a leader is to attack the entire line and if said line is connect to a deity, it is an attack on the deity. It's a show of the utter most disrespect punishable by death."

Bonnie blinked, she hadn't known that at all…

I should have known I'd run into a Bennett." The woman said with a dry chuckle.

"How do you know me?" I asked with narrowed eyes.

She sighed. "You figure it out. Look I have no interest in fighting you."

But then again…

Lucy narrowed her eyes. "I don't want to hurt you."

Bonnie's eyes darkened as she stepped closer to Lucy. "No. I don't want to hurt you."

"Look I don't have a choice. The bitch saved my life. Now I owe her. I have to pay up." Lucy said exasperatedly.

Maybe apart of her had known…

"Please wait…" Bonnie had pleaded with Lucy as the older witch exited the Lockwood residence.

"Hey, I'm sorry about the spell. Damn vampires. They pull me into the middle of it every single time…" Lucy muttered off.

"How do I know you?" Bonnie asked and when Lucy looked at her she elaborated. "When I gave you the stone, how did I know I could trust you?"

"That feeling you got, you ever felt it before?" Lucy asked knowingly.

Bonnie nodded "I mean, around family. Mostly my grams."

"My mother is Johanna daughter of Pauline half-sister of Sheila aka-"

"Grams…"

Lucy nodded with a smile.

"We're related…" Bonnie said breathlessly.

Lucy smiled. "Yeah, it's nice to meet you Bonnie. Seeing you tonight was a wakeup call for me. I gotta stop letting the vampires control me. so thank you for that."

"Wait please don't leave..." Bonnie called out to her again as she turned to leave. "I have so many questions. I don't want to be in the middle either, I hate it. How do I stay out of it?"

Lucy looked at her. "Unlike me, you're one of the good ones Bonnie. The middle of it is exactly where you need to be."

When Lucy began to walk away this time Bonnie let her, but before Lucy got too far she turned and looked back at Bonnie with brighter eyes.

"You take care little cousin, don't look so saddened, you'll be seeing me again in the future if it is natures will…"

Bonnie blinked out of the memory as Greta continued speaking. Now was not the time to go down memory lane.

"That is why despite my father being the eldest of us and having more experience, and despite Luka having the deeper connection with you I am here speaking to you. From one clan leader to another. Being a witch is more than just giving a few vampires you don't like aneurysms, floating feathers and casting a couple of spells. We have rules, we culture and as clan leader, we each have elaborate training rituals to develop of family magics but enough of that, as for why I've brought you here..." Greta said turning serious. "Stop."

"What?" Bonnie asked in confusion.

"What you're asking for, pleading for…it goes against natures will."

Bonnie shook her head. "Natures will? Don't make me laugh. Nature's will is Faye's will and you can't tell me that Faye wants her young brother dead."

"Faye is a force of nature, but she is not the only force of nature…never forget that." Greta said seriously before her eyes darted to the spot beside Jeremy's body seemingly seeing something that Bonnie herself could not. "Besides you should stop trying to bring him back, he might not be completely happy, but he is satisfied. His spirit is content and can pass on to where it needs to go."

Bonnie shook her head tightening her arms around his body that was steadily growing colder. "No, no why would you say that? How could you say that? What do you know, you don't know him you don't know Jeremy!"

"Because I can see him." She said evenly.

"What?"

Greta let out a tired sigh before bringing her eyes up to meet Bonnie's. "I can see him, I can hear him and I'm sure with time I could probably touch him too."

Bonnie shook her head. "What-what your saying is impossible…"

Greta raised her eyebrow. "Is it? You're a witch your teacher a vampire hunter. Your friends with a doppelgänger, a vampire who's sneaking around with a werewolf and we're both tied to the same deity. And yet here you say that me being able to see and speak to the dead is impossible even as you sit here begging stubborn spirts to help you."

"But…you…you can't be a medium…its…Grams told me mediums are only a spell away from becoming necromancers and that's nothing but dark magic."

Greta rolled her eyes. "Yes, because I was such a white witch before."

"Be serious Greta, necromancy is dark and dangerous stuff. When did you become a medium away Luka never mentioned that you were before…"

She raised her eyebrow again. "And why would he?"

"I just-never mind, can you help me with the spell, that's why you here isn't it?"

"Bonnie I've already told you. Stop. Baby Gilbert is content, what you're doing goes not only against his very spirit but against nature and there will be severe consequences."

"I don't care, I have to bring him back. And I'll bring him back with or without your help." She growled out before she began the spell again.

"Why can't you just let him go?" Greta hissed seemingly at her wits end with the younger witch and for good reason, Bonnie had no idea what she was asking for, she had no idea what she getting into.

Despite Bonnie's fear for Greta it was actually she who was threatening to dabble into the art that was necromancy.

Necromancy was never for witches and warlocks to dabble in.

Necromancy was for the gods, for Faye, which is why it was Faye who was able to retrieve their souls. Faye who was able to bring them back to life without consequence. It was Faye because necromancy is Faye's domain...not Greta's even at her skill and damn sure not an untrained Bonnie Bennett…

What Bonnie didn't understand was that Faye didn't work alone. Faye was the overseer of the dead and all thing such that, but it was her sister who ultimately reigned over the living.

Bonnie was definitely playing with fire if she thought for even a second that Coventina would let her bring him back without Bonnie losing something of equal value to his life.

"Because I love him…" Bonnie snapped angrily shocking Greta.

Greta stared at her with a severe expression. "I wasn't aware you and baby Gilbert were a thing…"

"We're not…I…we-" Bonnie face was enflamed, after all she hadn't yet confined in Faye about her feelings.

"Stop. There's no need to deny your obvious feeling for him." Greta said and if Bonnie detected a hint of anger and distaste in her tone she didn't bother acknowledging it.

"She's right you know, its written all over your face…" Both Greta and Bonnie turned abruptly to see an unfamiliar girl around their age.

She was incredibly fair and dressed in an expensive silver heels and peter pan collared long sleeved white dress that stopped a little above her knees with intricate silvers designs on the sides with diamonds and pearls embroidered around her bust; her pin straight blonde hair elegantly pulled up into and elaborate bun that also was adorned with diamonds and pearls.

She was beautiful in all her purity, Bonnie thought that the girl resembled an angel that had descended from the heavens, though there was just one feature that drew Bonnie's attention; her eyes.

She didn't have pupils; her eyes were seemingly glossy pools of milk.

Bonnie knew the girl before them was undoubtedly blind…yet with how the girl seemed to stare directly at her and how her lips seemed to curve into a smirk as if she wasn't, gave Bonnie a feeling she had yet to really feel in a long time since the vampires first came to town.

Fear.

"Ah to be young and in love…" The girl mused out loud. "But oh to how such a tragic incident befall ones so young…such a pity…"

The girl immediately put both witches on edge.

"Who are you?" Greta asked tensely and the girl wistful smile straight to a flatline her milky pools seemingly freezing to an icy tundra.

"It is considered impolite to demand the name of another without first introducing yourself." Greta and Bonnie both shivered at pure ice in her tone.

"I am Greta Martis." Greta said through gritted teeth.

"Of course you are…" The girl sneered before turning her gaze towards Bonnie waiting.

"I am Bonnie Bennett."

The girl gave another smirk that was definitely creeping the younger witches out. "Yes…you are aren't you…"

"Who are you?" Bonnie asked carefully.

The girl's smirk widened, and Bonnie really was regretting asking. "I have a many names but you may call me Ciana."

"O-ok" Bonnie said softly. Bonnie's instinct were blaring, warning her to not upset the angelic girl under any circumstances.

The girl laughed and her laugh reminded Bonnie of Faye's with it sounding like wind chimes. "There's no need for you to be wary of me Bonnie Bennett, I'm here to help you after all."

"Help…" Bonnie trailed off before her eyes widened as she looked down at Jeremy "You can help me bring him back."

"Of course…" The girl said.

"Bonnie," Greta said drawing her attention. "You can't trust her, I've already told you his spirit is content-"

"Your opinions are not welcome here daughter of Mars." The girl sharp voice silenced the other witch immediately. Greta looked as if she'd just been given an aneurysm before she and the temple seemingly disappeared into nothingness.

Bonnie's eyes widened. "What happened to Greta…where did she go?"

"One can only hold astro project for so long without having to go back…with the slightest amount of pressure the projection pops much like a bubble if the witch is not strong enough to hold it." Ciana said with an all too happy smile.

"Then how am I still here?"

"Because of me, of course! you have not the power to bring yourself much less keep yourself." She chirped though her happy sounded a bit patronizing to Bonnie's ears.

"You want to help me? why?"

"Why look a gift horse in the mouth?" The girl said daring to shoot Bonnie a demure and innocent look of confusion.

"Because I know all magic comes with a price, so what is your price?" Bonnie asked frowning at the girl.

"The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it…" Ciana said with a secretive smile.

"And just what does that mean?" Bonnie asked her irritation flaring.

Ciana only gave her what resembled a fanged grin before looking down at the corpse she held in her arms. "You should quickly decide whether or not you wish him to live, he is close to being forever out of your reach…"

Bonnie putting aside her riddle tightened her grip on Jeremy. "I wish to save him. I love him too much to let him go."

"Hmm…" The girl's smile turned almost shark like as she placed two fingers on the boy's forehead. "Your love for him is rather strong…"

Bonnie looked at her taking note of the laughter in her tone but unsure what exactly she was laughing at. "Of course my love for him is strong."

"Your love is strong enough to save him…hmm but to keep him I wonder…"

Before Bonnie could ask just what, the girl meant, Jeremy's body was surrounded by white light.

The girl's eyes glowered before she muttered. "Επιστρέψτε αυτό που χάθηκε."

Bonnie blinked but she only needed to lose sight for a second before she was slammed back into her body.

She let out a painfilled hiss blinking her eyes trying to adjust before she took note of her surroundings. She was back at the abandoned house.

She looked down to see Jeremy in her arms, the color gradually flowing back to his face.

Bonnie held her breath even as he inhaled.

His eyes snapped open and just for a second Bonnie swear that his eyes had milky white film across them before returning to their natural brown…

"Bonnie?"

"Oh my gods…Jeremy." She said letting out a relived sigh even as she clutched the boy closer to her as he groaned in pained.

"W-what happened?" He asked with a frown.

"It doesn't matter…" Bonnie whispered, "You're ok…Jeremy you're ok."

It was 20 minutes before the finally left the abandoned witches house and Bonnie took a long look because she knew she wouldn't be welcomed back for quite a long time. It was an hour before she finally left the gilbert house. What could she say, she was worried about him.

Jeremy had come back from the dead, though to ask him didn't remember dying in the first place. The only proof that she had to show he that he had actually been shot was the fact that there was a small circular scar burn on his chest where the bullet entered.

Bonnie wondered why Ciana had left him with that scar even when she knew Faye had brought the entire Martian family without so much as a freckle, the other part of Bonnie was too worried and feared the answer to dig too deeply though…

"-nie…"

"-onnie"

"BONNIE!"

She blinked at looked up at the worried gaze of her vampire hunting history teacher. "Alaric? Why are you yelling?"

He stared at her with disbelief in his eyes before shaking her head.

"Oh I don't know, just you zoned out again and the last time you did that…" He trailed off before his eyes seemed to sharpen as he stared at her. "At the abandoned house one minute you were here chanting a spell the next you fainted and no matter what I did you would wake."

Bonnie sighed but looked up at her teacher. "It happens sometimes when I use too much magic, fainting-"

Alaric however shook his head. "No, no you did more than faint Bonnie…I'm no doctor but when I felt for your pulse-"

Alaric shook his head taking a seat next to her and placing his hand in his hands. "I-you didn't have a pulse Bonnie…"

"Hey, its fine I'm fine." There was no reason to let Alaric know that she was more freaked out than he believed. If what he was saying was true…then she had died…it was not something that she wanted to dwell on…nor did she want to dwell on what she might have paid to bring Jeremy back…

She mentally shook herself, no, she didn't need to think like that, least of all now.

"Are you?" Alaric asked with a frown as he continued to stare at her. Bonnie stood flashing him a disarming smile that she had seen Faye do on more than on occasion.

"I am." Bonnie said before leaving the Gilbert house. After all what choice did she have.

Somewhere on the Other Side…

"How foolish you have let your disciples get, sister." The girl mused out loud as she strolled through the Other Side laughing to herself. "Poor little Bennett…your love is enough to save him I said…but never did I say it would keep him…she should know by now all magic comes with a price and the price of love is loss…"

"Perhaps I have make this game a bit more interesting now that you have an active line again…" She mused with another laugh before appearing before an older looking blonde woman who hung between two stakes.

The older woman trembled before the girl in fear. This girl though the woman knew she was more that just the teenage face she chose to wear had been torturing her for over a thousand years due to one minor slip of judgement.

"You have provided much entertain these last thousand years," The woman whimpered at the sadistic smirk that the girl wore as she stared at her.

"Despite what you may think, I can me quite merciful to those who don't disappoint me…perhaps if I release you, you will provide me with more entertainment."

"Yes…yes my lady, whatever you desire I will bring to you."

"Whatever I desire…" The girl mused with a smile before her smile dropped and she glared at the older woman with pupiless eyes filled with hate and disgust. "I desire many things…how arrogant you to think that you would be able to give me all that I desire…"

The woman flinched back whimpering as she lowered her head in submission making the girl sneer at her weakness but on the flip of a dime smiling at her.

"I loathe weak witches…and I tend to purge them from my lines as you well know" The girl said, and the older witch flinched again as if she had struck her…yeah she did know how much the lady hated weakness.

"But I loathe even more than that are disobedient witches and witches that disappointed me." She cut her eyes at the older witch even as she snapped her finger clearing her of her confinement.

The older witch fell on her face and didn't dare remove it from the floor, however that was not her call to make.

The girl gripped the older witches hair pulling her hair back and making her look at her.

"You've disappointed me once be sure you will not do it again. You want to redeem yourself…entertain me." The girl whispered before disappearing from the witch.

"Yes my lady, I will not fail you." The elder witch said before gasping as she felt the magic of her slithered teasingly in her veins…she knew what she had to do to get back in her lady's good graces, she would not fail her…not again.

Faye's pov

"I suppose brother…you've been reunited with our family." Klaus said softly towards Elijah he laid in a rather expensive looking coffin before closing it shut. "Put him with the others. We're leaving town tonight."

I had woken serval hours later in the arms of none other than Klaus Mikaelson who had immediately demanded that I spill all my dirty laundry to him. I merely laughed and questioned when exactly he had started caring such much about my health.

That had earned me another nap via grumpy Klaus as apparently the hybrid didn't appreciate my attitude.

When I woke up the second time he was in a better mood. He gave me food and my favorite ice cream, it was the perfect bribe and I couldn't find myself forgiving him.

He had plans to leave town with Stefan, to make his hybrids I was sure. And since Stefan was going and Klaus was about to make history I demanded that I tag along on this expedition as well. The hybrid laughed at my demand saying, 'as if you really had a choice love.'

And so here we were…standing outside of a warehouse as the hybrid said his last goodbyes and what not.

"So…" Klaus questions as Stefan's phone rang but I was still staring off into the trailer truck that held four other coffins.

I walked pasted the compelled humans with a frown as I felt myself being drawn in.

"Did Katerina make it in time?" Klaus voice seemed far away as I looked at the coffins.

They were all identical and yet seemed to each give off their own impressions…

One resentment, one anger, Elijah's whose was just added radiated betrayal, though two seemed to radiate power themselves though in different way.

The one that's seemed to be the furthest away seemed to almost leak magic and I knew without even looking inside that a witch laid there.

Though curious, it was not the coffin that ensnared my senses. I walked towards the lower coffin.

"You won't be seeing her again you know…"

My hands brushed across the lid…my fingers trailed towards the locks…

"Why? Because she's on vervain?" At Stefan's silence Klaus chuckled. "I've been around a long time Stefan, I rarely get played for a fool."

My eyes brightened when I tilted my head, the top of the lid soundlessly opening after all there was no need to alert Klaus to what I was doing when I didn't even know exactly what I was doing.

"Besides, she won't get far. You'll help me see to that."

I stared at face of the sleeping male the laid in the coffin even as a rage I didn't even know I held threatened to overcome me.

I didn't even dare breathe as deep molten brown eyes rimmed and flecked with a golden hue snapped open suddenly, meeting my gaze as if he could taste my rage…and perhaps he could.

"Kai darlin, you must go…do not give my repugnant sister more reason to hate you. You must attend to your duties, you know how important you are." I whispered into his chest as we lay peacefully against each other.

"My dearest love…you sister is a prat that tries to control everyone, but she cannot control me. I say that the day is yet complete until I've told you my piece." He whispered wrapping his arms around me.

"Hmm…and what is that?" I asked tilting my head to look up at him. He was beautiful, as he had always been. His hair, dark and lustrous, had a sheen like fine hardwood. But that comparison isn't entirely fair, I suppose. Hardwood doesn't swish gently like his hair does, swaying with the words he speaks. A shiny varnish catches merely light around it, but the depths of that deep chestnut brown reflected all the radiance of his smile. His molten pools of golden fire that were his eyes stared into my own dark abyss and I let out a content sigh…I could stare at him for an eternity and never grow bored…

"I love you more…you know. I love you more than words can describe, numbers can count, and the forever growing universe can discover." He said placing his forehead on my own and I smiled.

"I know and I you…you tell me every day."

"But of course, I would sooner let the world be incased in my raging flames than go a day without telling my beloved how much I love her. To do that to my beloved would be a cardinal sin punishable by death…" He said before taking my lips gently.

"Oh, and I would surely punish you." I cooed brushing my nose across his as we continued to cuddle.

"Oh and how I would look foreword to it." He grinned wickedly before kissing me once more.

I blinked away the memory to see that he was still staring at me, though now even more intensely than the last. I didn't take notice of how close I had gotten to him, how I was practically on top of him without actually being on top of him.

"What is it you really want from me?" Stefan and Klaus continued their conversation, my lack of presence seemingly still unnoticed.

"…all will be explained in time…once we leave this tragic little town..." Klaus countered.

"Then are we done here? Can we go?" Stefan demanded.

My eyes held his own as my right hand caressed his cheek, even as my left clutched the dagger that pierced his heart.

"Not quite…you see I have a gift for you." Klaus chuckled.

There was a beat of silence on both ends. My left hand twitched and a mischievous smirk spread across my lips….

"Come here sweetheart. Don't be afraid." Klaus cooed, and I just barely resisted the urge to turning my head to watch the show. "See I want to make sure you honor our deal…that you'll be of use to me.

Klaus bit into the girl as I pricked my finger across his fang, letting my finger dangle between his lips before painting his lips red. "I could have compelled her to behave, but a real ripper…"

I watched the eyes of the male laid before me, he was less grey than before. His eyes even more alive…and burning…

"…enjoys the hunt."

A sadistic gleam entered his gorgeous brown eyes and my heart skipped a beat. He sent me a wink as I began lowering the lid of the casket though I did manage to catch his lips moment.

'I'll find you.' They said.

"The chase is on my dear and I will find you." His deep voice echoed from not far behind me. "I will always find you..."

'Catch me if you can' I mouthed back.

He released the girl, and I didn't bother watching as she took off screaming into the night. I walked to Klaus's side crossing my arms and letting out a dramatic huff just waiting for it to be over already.

I allowed the hybrid to lean against me, his chin placed on my head and his arms my waist watching Stefan like a child cartoons while clutching its favorite teddy.

We all knew what was going to happen…

Stefan didn't hesitate…didn't let his pray get far.

He held her tenderly even as he pumped more fear through his meal as his eyes bled red.

He wore a sadistic smirk as the woman violently shook in his hold before striking at her neck.

Stefan didn't dally nor did he hold back. He was finished and dropped her corpse as fast as he caught her.

His eyes locked onto my own and despite the time that pasted his eyes didn't revert back to the familiar green I was used to seeing though these eyes too were familiar. This was still Stefan…but with a weightless freedom that he didn't have before, this was the Stefan that had long been locked away beneath the surface…the real Stefan, the true Stefan…

The ripper's cage had been unlocked and he was now coming out to play…he was dangerous, I knew….and yet I only felt excitement…

So I didn't mind when I blinked as Stefan stood before me his bloodied fingers stroking my cheek gently smearing blood as a rather unhinged smile stretched across his lips and I gasped as a familiar dark energy cracked in the air between us, though this time it seemed to stretch out of loop even the hybrid in.

I felt Klaus's body shudder against my back and looked up at him to see his eyes gleaming with excitement no doubt about the prospect of what was to be our future travels.

"Now we can go…" Klaus said giddily.

The smell of fresh blood saturated the crisp night air...it was just the beginning…
