A/N: Huh, finally ending . . .

Chapter 17

Camp Half-Blood

Chaos and destruction erupted near the base of Half-Blood Hill. Luckily for the warriors of Olympus, the enemy seemed to only have melee units. No arrows, rocks or even screaming fireballs came from the enemy side, but they knew better than to let their guards down. Clangs of metal, cries of war and screams of pain were heard throughout Long Island as End's army clashed with the warriors of Olympus.

For the first time since a while, Artemis felt alive in combat. She was actually fighting for something, instead of just hunting monsters just to make the Earth safer. Now, she's fighting to defend her home and her family. It reinvigorated her spirit of a true huntress. Her hunters picked up her aura and were doing much better than they had before. Their skills with archery were flawless. Combined with the help from Apollo's children, their ranged unit was a force to be reckoned with. It didn't take long for the battlefield to be littered with arrows.

Jason fought like never before, finally testing out his years of training in a full scale combat. He didn't have to hold back, he didn't have to show mercy. The enemy was threatening his home, his family and his friends. He could unleash all the destruction and carnage he wanted on the enemy. He sliced and diced at the incoming adversaries, carving a path forward.

He used Chaos's blessing. A projection of his arm came from his arm, forming a transparent yet solid layer that was much bigger than his original hand. He grabbed an enemy by the torso and flung him away, as if he weighed nothing.

For once, he was glad that his allies were on frenzy. The front lines were like a wall of pure destruction. Nothing gets close and lived to see another day and nothing gets through.

At the corner of his eye, something moved as quickly as lightning behind enemy lines, incinerating everything on its path. Jason realized it was Thalia, using her blessing from Chaos to its full extent. She turned into lightning form, zapped across the enemy forces, making a clean path for herself and then zapped back behind her allies to regain her strength.

While they were doing an amazing job, Jason couldn't help but feel a bit helpless. None of this will matter if Percy failed to defeat End. He decided to take his mind off of that by continuing the carnage he had started.

Things went wrong when Fuzzies were unleashed.

In truth, their name was so hard to pronounce, but Jason and his friends called the species Fuzzy. Why? Don't ask.

Barrelling behind the enemy, trampling its allies in the process, were half a dozen of Fuzzies, all ready for blood. Jason could feel his allies wavering from their newfound enemy, but he had to keep them at bay and strong. Jason summoned the strongest lightning he could even conjure and zapped one of the Fuzzies, and then another one, which led to four more while the other two got incinerated to dust.

"Nico!" Jason shouted through his earpiece.

"Kinda busy!" Nico replied.

"Keep the army at bay," Jason ordered. "I'll take care of the Fuzzies."

It didn't sound like much of a threat, considering of what the monsters were called. At least it's better than naming it something like Julie or Jose.

"You can't take that much alone," Nico said. Jason parried a strike from an enemy, kicked it in the gut before finishing him off with a stab. "You'll be crushed!"

"I'll back him up!" Reyna offered. The dusk slowly turned to night as the battle dragged on and on.

"Let's go!" Jason said as he took off and flew straight into a Fuzzy.

Olympus.

Percy grabbed Annabeth's/End's wrist and used her momentum to throw her off balance, but his opponent was as skilled as she looked. Annabeth smirked at the sight or Percy's panting.

"Are you surprised, Percy?" Annabeth asked as she grinned evilly. "Were you expecting to see my ultimate form?"

"Why did you do this?" Percy asked with his voice cracking. He was mentally unstable, like the world was about to crumble beneath his feet. "You were better than this!"

"You're such a Seaweed Brain, you know that?" Annabeth smirked before lunging again, raising her dagger for the kill. Percy sidestepped out of the way, but Annabeth was way faster. She landed with one foot on the ground and spun around, throwing her dagger as she did so which lodged right onto Percy's back. Percy winced in pain as he dropped to the ground. Golden blood spilled from his back. "Remember that spot, Percy? Your 'Achilles' Heel'?"

She was right. The spot on his back had been his one vulnerable spot when he had took a dip in the River Styx. Percy was surprised that she would remember, but this was Annabeth. He'd basically spent his whole time with her. He didn't want to believe it, but he was sure that this was Annabeth. The real one.

The one he had killed . . .

Annabeth walked over and ripped the dagger off of his back, leaving a searing pain as she did so. She flipped Percy over with her foot, then stared at him with a sadistic grin. "Is this what you have to offer me, Percy? You disappoint me."

Percy growled. He clenched his fist together to find something in his hand. He felt something hard that seemed like the hilt of the sword. Percy closed his eyes, felt the object more. It wasn't a hilt.

It was a pen.

"Well, I guess even you have a limit," Annabeth shrugged as she plunged her dagger towards him. Percy uncapped the pen; his eyes shot open, surprising Annabeth. Percy heard the familiar sound of his sword expanding and he swung it, forcing Annabeth to jump back. Percy stood up shakily and glared at Annabeth. In his hand, was the cursed sword that killed Annabeth, something Percy swore never to use again. Riptide shined with golden light, finally being used after a long time.

The Anaklusmos seemed to get more powerful as it took in power from its wielder. The blade glowed faintly. Percy could sensed his powers flowing into the sword.

Percy smirked. "Let's finally get started, shall we? Warm up session has ended. Time for the real thing,"

Camp Half-Blood

Good news, the Fuzzies has been taken care of.

Bad news? They were losing ground rapidly.

It's both amazing and scary at how fast and efficient the enemy worked. They moved like the ocean, sending a new wave after another, making sure their front lines stayed strong.

Jason slowly pulled his forces backward, forcing them to defend at the high ground. Their numbers had already been decreased to half, and it continues to decrease at a rapid pace. They were great fighters, but even the greatest fighters get tired. Jason lost track of time at how long it had been since the battle started, but midnight was approaching. The only one that seemed to be able to go full throttle was Artemis, but even her strength was wavering. Aside from using her own abilities in combat, she also had to use her powers to make sure the archery unit didn't run out of arrow. Every time a quiver was empty, Artemis was to fill it up. Sure, it didn't take much for the goddess to do such a thing, but doing so a bunch of times could even tire the goddess.

At this rate, they won't be able to hold on for very long. They needed help and they needed a bunch of them. Where was Hestia when you needed her?

They were forced up to the top of Half-Blood Hill, making a defensive line parallel to Thalia's Pine Tree. It seems like they were the borders that defend the camp.

"HOLD!" Jason shouted. "HOLD THIS LINE NO MATTER WHAT!"

Random thought of the day: the scene reminded him of when three hundred Spartan warriors held their enemies back in a defensive line, not even wavering under the strongest of enemy charges.

The warriors seemed to pick up the power and spirit in Jason's command. The demigods locked shields, all different, ranging from Roman to Greek shields. Even with the variety of shields at play, they formed an incredible defensive wall. The enemy charged, tried to attack, but their defence was working.

"STRIKE!" Jason shouted. Sharp pointy things sprouted out from the lines, disintegrating the front lines of the enemy. "Reyna! Fire the onager!"

Soon, a flaming ball of molten metal flew from behind them, landing dead centre at the enemy forces. The ball of flames exploded, unleashing tiny metal balls made out of godly metal, spreading around like shrapnel. It did a lot of damage. Hundreds of the enemy disintegrated and collapsed in pain right on the spot.

But as quickly as they'd been struck, they didn't seem fazed. They gathered up and started to push the demigods further back into camp. If they don't hold this line much longer, the camp was going to be overrun.

Then, a conch horn blew at the distance. Jason thought it was the enemy reinforcements because it couldn't be any of their allies. Everyone was here, defending to their final breath.

Except for . . .

"CHARGE!" A voice shouted from the woods.

If Mother Nature had all her subjects dressed up in armour and told them to go drink coffee with extra shot of caffeine, you would get a bit of something what Jason saw.

From the forests on both left and right, hundreds of nature spirits burst out, looking like they were out for blood. Everything from nymphs to centaurs, to satyrs and even other beings that Jason was sure didn't exist. An army of what appeared to be humans at first sprinted out of the woods, moving at an unnatural speed that was too quick for even a demigod. Some of them turned into wolves the size of an SUV while some appeared to send the enemy flying with brute force of their attacks.

When Jason saw the unicorns and woodland fairies, he was certain that he was hallucinating.

It didn't seem much and they were still outnumbered, but suddenly it looked like an even fight. The demigods attacked with renewed forces and surged forward.

"Stand back!" A voice said behind Jason. Jason didn't need to be told twice as something jumped forward. Then, it unleashed something that Jason wished that he wouldn't have to hear again.

As the faun opened his mouth, the sound of what sounded like a trumpet bass magnified through the world's largest speakers was heard. It was so loud and horrifying that Jason's knees actually shook. The enemy forces retreated back slightly, hoping to get away from whatever made that monstrous noise. Some even disintegrated on the spot.

"Whew, haven't done that in a while," The faun said. He turned around and Jason recognized him. It was the Lord of the Wild, Grover Underwood, and Percy's best friend. Thalia rushed forward and hugged him tightly.

"Grover!" Thalia exclaimed happily. "It's been a while!"

Grover bleated. "It has been, hasn't it?"

"Hate to ruin the reunion, but we need to rally up quickly," Nico said. Then he grinned when he saw Grover. "Nice to see you man," Grover gave a manly (or goatly?) hug.

"Nico's right," Jason said. "They're coming back in a few minutes, so we have to be ready. Can we use the onager again?"

Reyna shook her head. "We've ran out of things to load it up with."

Jason cursed in Latin. "We're gonna have to hold this line."

"Jason!" Piper came running towards him.

"What's wrong?"

"It's Hestia," Piper said. "I can't find her anywhere."

"Did she bail?" Nico asked nervously.

Thalia shook her head. "Hestia's not that kind of a goddess. She might be kind and gentle, but she's not one to run away from a fight. Wherever she is, we're just gonna have to trust her."

They nodded. Jason looked at the battlefield to see the nature spirits rally up near them. The enemy had retreated just a few yards back, regaining their senses before launching another attack. "We need more help,"

"Lucia's coming," Thalia said. "I have faith in her. We just gonna have to hold on until then."

"Lucia?" Grover asked. "She's the one who asked me to go here. Then she said she's going to release-"

"They're coming!" Someone shouted. Sure enough, the enemy was marching again towards the battlefield, ready for round 2.

Olympus

Percy and Annabeth exchanged blows, sword against dagger. With Riptide in his hand, his word in swordsmanship seemed to be coming in naturally, rather than how he usually moved with his other swords. Annabeth used the hilt of her knife to catch Percy's blade, then she spun around and kicked him on the chest. Percy staggered backwards, but he held his ground. He rushed forward and spun around, trying to decapitate his opponent. Annabeth ducked and tried to swipe his legs from under him, but Percy jumped up. He cleaved his sword downwards and Annabeth rolled out of the way. She stood up and smirked at Percy.

"My, my, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said. "You've finally gotten better. But I'm afraid; you're still not good enough."

"But I'm still good enough to beat you!" Percy shouted as he lunged again. For a brief moment, Annabeth had a surprised look on her face before she covered it up with a look of concentration.

That moment, Percy knew. He had a chance of defeating End.

Percy rushed forward, readying Riptide for the kill. They exchanged blows at an inhuman pace; sending sparks flying all over them as their blades met. Percy blocked a strike from Annabeth, and locked blades with her. "You can't win this one, Percy."

"We'll see about that," Percy growled and pushed her back. End smirked as he summoned a Fuzzy to his aid. The monster roared and barrelled towards Percy. He rolled to the side and stabbed Riptide to the monster's side. Fuzzy roared as it swung its paw wildly, catching Percy off guard and sent him flying across the room and landed in loud thud. "Coward," Percy muttered under his breath. Riptide was somewhere stuck at the ribs of Fuzzy, but Percy knew it would eventually return to his pocket.

"Coward? No," Annabeth grinned. "I'm just using the advantages I had."

Percy tried to stab her, but she spun out of the way and used his momentum to send him tumbling to the floor. "You can't beat me, Percy! I'm better than you and I'm more powerful than you!"

"What are you planning anyway?!" Percy said as he stood up, glaring at her.

"Me? I'm going to destroy you and your family! Then I'm going to destroy Olympus, brick by brick!"

Percy's ears picked that up. "What did you say?"

"I'm going to destroy you and your-"

Percy waved her off. "I get that one. Repeat that last part for me please."

"I'm going to destroy Olympus brick by brick, let it crumble in ruins." Annabeth was now confused.

Oh . . . Something clicked into Percy, something that should've clicked since he even began fighting her. He should've realized it sooner. The fact that he hadn't realized it sooner made him laugh hysterically. It wasn't the maniacal laugh that he used to do with his enemies. He laughed as if End had told him a cosmic joke.

"Oh gods," Percy continued to laugh. "I am so stupid."

"What are you laughing about?!" Annabeth . . . No. End said.

"You're not Annabeth," Percy grinned. "You can't be her. The Annabeth I know wouldn't destroy Olympus. She would rebuild it."

End's false facade wavered as he shimmered in his form. "It doesn't matter! I'm still better than you!"

Percy laughed. "It does matter. Because now, I wouldn't have to worry."

"Worry?"

"About going all out." He grinned evilly.

He was going to have so much fun.

Camp Half-Blood

Jason soon discovered that fairies and unicorns existed, and that vampires and werewolves were real. Jason hoped that the world hadn't gone full Twilight on him.

Even with the help of the nature spirits and the Lord of the Wild himself, it was still an uneven fight. That momentary shot of adrenaline from the arrival of their new forces had helped them, but it's gone now.

The enemy's footsteps marched towards them; the ground shook with each of their synchronized step. Jason stood in line with the bravest and strongest demigods. If he was going to die, he's going to die knowing he had put up one heck of a fight. Piper now stood beside him, their hands laced.

"You know, Jason," Piper said, having the nerve to smirk. "Our relationship was based on a lie."

Jason frowned. "Why are you bringing that up now?"

Piper shrugged. "No reason." She leaned in and kissed him. "I love you, Jason."

"I love you too Pipes." Jason smiled at her. "Stay by my side, will you?" Jason felt a bit selfish asking that. If Jason were to die, he wanted Piper to be the last face he'll ever see.

"I never intended to leave your side in the first place," Piper said. Jason felt reassured. He looked at the approaching army, now just a few yards away.

"WARRIORS OF OLYMPUS!" Jason shouted, his eyes never leaving the enemy. "DO NOT MAKE THEM CROSS THIS LINE. MAKE THIS OUR FINAL STAND FOR OLYMPUS!"

His allies found their voice and roared just as loud as they did at the start of this battle. The enemy took that as a challenge and charged forward. They were closing the gap between the two forces.

"BRACE!" Jason shouted. Their shields locked and they firmly placed their feet on the ground. As the armies clashed, Jason and his friends didn't budge an inch. "STRIKE!" They thrust out their weapons from the chinks of their united shields, disintegrating the front lines. The centaurs were brave kamikaze soldiers. They jumped over their wall of defence and charged at the enemy. Jason couldn't help but admire their bravery and he was determined not to let their sacrifice go in vain.

The satyrs and nature spirits used their woodland magic to choke the enemies with vines or turn them into plants. Vampires and werewolves alike crushed the enemy in hand to hand combat. Jason saw some pretty non PG-13 things that would scare him for life.

He never knew seeing wolves ripping someone's throat out literally were scary and disgusting. He now understood why Piper became a vegetarian.

Piper and Jason worked together as a duo. Jason used his giant hand to smack people around to the air while Piper blasted them away with her magic.

"Duck!" Jason said. Piper ducked as Jason slashed an enemy that was lunging at her. He helped Piper up and when their arms were together, Jason pulled her in for a kiss. When he pulled away, Jason said the stupidest thing ever. "Let's get married now."

Piper frowned. Her eyes widened as she pushed Jason down and stabbed an enemy behind him, disintegrating it to dust. "I don't think now's the perfect time!"

"I don't care!" Jason zapped a Fuzzy with a monstrous lightning bolt. "This might be the last time we're together. I want to die knowing that I have you as my official family." Jason struck another monster, decapitating it and kicked the temple of another one. Piper looked straight into Jason's eyes, and knew that she wanted the same thing.

"Nico!" Piper called. Nico turned towards them. "Marry us!"

Nico frowned. "Are you kidding me? In case you didn't notice-" Nico ducked under a sword then slashed at the monster with a three combo slice with his katana before it dropped to the ground in yellow dust. "-we're kinda in the middle of something here."

Jason spun around and decapitated an enemy. "Just do it!"

Nico groaned loudly as he kicked an enemy away from him. He changed his earpiece to a speaker, a handy feature when he wanted everyone to hear his voice. He stabbed an enemy in the gut before he spoke. "Dearly beloved, we have gathered here today to-" He sliced at a monster that was about to lunge at him. "-to witness the union of two beautiful couple."

"What are you doing?" Grover demanded.

"Do you, Jason Grace, take this woman to be your lawful wedded-" Nico let out a yell as he summoned the shadows and engulfed a Fuzzy with it, taking it somewhere else. "-wife?"

Jason was making himself busy with an enemy, but he kicked it away and then looked at Piper. "I do," He whispered.

"And do you, Piper Elizabeth McLean," Nico used the blessing of Chaos and turned his hands into machine guns, firing at the enemy and disintegrating them at a rapid pace. "Take this man to be your lawful wedded husband?"

Piper was tired and beat up, but she couldn't help but grin. This wasn't her ideal wedding ceremony, but if they were dying tonight, hey she'll take it. "I do!" She shouted at Nico as she froze an enemy in a block of ice before making it shatter.

"By the power bested in me by no one in particular, I now announce you husband and wife. You may kiss-" Nico got grabbed by an enemy, but he quickly got away as he melted into the shadows and reappeared behind him, stabbing him from behind. "You may kiss-" He got punched by an enemy. Nico groaned and decapitated the one who punched him before kicking another one down the hill. Jason and Piper were still battling side by side, but both were feeling happier than ever. "You may-" Nico spun around, knocking another enemy with the hilt of his sword before landing a high kick upon another enemy. "For fuck's sake, just kiss!"

Jason spun around, slicing at the throat of an enemy before turning to Piper who'd just finished off an enemy of her own. They closed the gap between them and their lips met. Finally, they were husband and wife.

"I love you," Jason said when they pulled away.

"Same here," Piper grinned.

"Incoming!" Lucia's voice was heard from above. Something soared above them and crashed onto the enemy side. Lucia appeared next to Jason and Piper, looking tired but she grinned anyway. "Glad I could make it."

"What was that?" Jason asked.

"That was a part of Typhon's essence. Powerful enough to cause mayhem, but not powerful enough to release the actual thing." Lucia said. "Apparently, my brother went to Tartarus more often than I realized."

"So it seems," Jason said. "By the way, we just got married."

Lucia grinned. "That's not the first time I've heard such a thing, but congratulations!"

Where the something had landed, the wind around it started to swirl around, picking up speed. When the enemy started to realized that the wind was dragging them in, they tried to run away, but it was already too late. Typhon was a strong monster. Its essence alone was enough to cause a massive hurricane the size of Katrina.

The wind got so fast that some monster literally got disintegrated on the spot. Strangely, none of Jason and his allies got dragged into the wind like them.

"Typhon's essence," Artemis said with awe, suddenly being next to them. "It's a miracle you managed to bring it here and haven't got blown away."

"I got into some trouble handling it, but I managed." Lucia grinned. Then, the wind died down and Typhon's essence was gone. It did more than just helped. It basically took care of the army by itself. Now, there more than just a few hundred of the enemy. The battle suddenly got heavily one-sided, favouring to them.

"Let's finish up our work, shall we?" Jason grinned.

Olympus

End was having trouble keeping up with Percy.

It was true that Percy was holding back because he thought that it was Annabeth. He almost broke down because it almost made sense. Annabeth wasn't in Elysium because she was with End, but that wasn't it. Percy was majorly relieved. He was still wasn't sure why Annabeth wasn't in Elysium, but he'll figure that out soon.

But now, he's going to beat the shit out of End.

End's form of Annabeth was now shimmering, like it was threatening to disappear, revealing whatever was underneath. End growled as Percy turned on what he called his 'full combat mode of awesomeness'.

This was never in Percy's head in the first place, because it was tiring. Even for someone with stamina as high as Percy, which is insanely high, full combat mode was tiring as hell. Imagine running a marathon from Europe to Asia in a single day. Now compact all that into ten seconds. That's how tired Percy will be.

Percy sent down a flurry of strikes on End, who had trouble parrying them all. Some already wound End, making him leak ichor. Percy sent a strong kick on his chest, sending him sprawling on the floor.

"You can't do this! I'm a deity! You have no right to!" End snarled.

Percy gave an innocent smile. "Sorry, but you know I'm all about doing things against the rules. Like defeating Kronos, putting Gaia to sleep, meeting Egyptians, learning magic and all that shit." Percy sat down next to End. "You're funny, End. You've twisted my life in a way so that I turned to the crazy human being I became. Ever since love found me again, I'm slowly turning back. Back to the way I was."

"What's your point?" End growled.

Percy smirked. "Never mess with someone else's sanity if they can kick you ass."

"Enough!" End tried releasing a burst of power, but that did nothing to him.

"Another thing to remember,' Percy grinned. "Don't give your blessing to people you're going to fight. Sorry buddy, but this is the end of the road for you." Percy lit his hand up in flames and then gripped Riptide's hilt. Riptide absorbed its wielder's powers and the blade lit up in black flames. "It's been fun, you know. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm going to miss you." With that Percy ran his blade through End's heart. End howled in pain before his body exploded in black light, sending Percy sprawling to the floor like a ragdoll. His consciousness slowly fading.

He saw a figure walking towards him. His eyes opened a bit to see Jester, frowning onto him.

"I always knew you were a nuisance, Jackson," Jester said. "I never thought you would be the end of, well, End. Sorry for this, but I'm going to have to kill you. Slowly, of course."

Jester moved and kicked Percy on the gut. He felt the pain, but his body was too tired to react to it. So it's practically like being exposed to pain but can't do anything about it.

Jester took out what appeared to be a staff and clobbered Percy with it. He could feel some of his bones broke from the hit. Percy wanted it to stop, but he couldn't do anything. He could feel his consciousness fading. Even though Percy was immortal, he knew Jester had some way to kill immortals. If he could possess immortals, he would certainly know how to kill one.

Percy managed a small smile. Thalia's face flashed across his mind. "Sorry Thals . . . I can't be there for the wedding."

"Well, goodbye Jackson," Jester raised his staff for the final blow, but it never came. Percy heard Jester screaming in pain like he was on fire. He sounds like he was being thrown away.

"Be gone with you," A serious feminine voice said. It was familiar, but Percy couldn't quite put a finger on it, mainly because he was slowly passing out. "Don't worry Perseus, you'll be safe."

Line Break

Just as Jester wanted to land the final blow, something shot him from behind. Before he knew it, he was on flames. If it were any normal flames, he would've extinguished it without a problem. But this was godly flames.

Standing behind Jester, was a female in a hooded robe. Her eyes flared as she grabbed Jester with her powers and threw him across the room.

"Be gone with you," Hestia said seriously. She never gets serious unless she's really mad. She looked at Percy with concern. "Don't worry Perseus, you'll be safe." Hestia turned her attention back to Jester, who seemed to be really in pain from the flames. He looked at Hestia with hatred.

"I'll kill you!" Jester snarled. He lunged at Hestia but at the same time, the doors to the throne room burst open, revealing a mob of tired and worn out warriors, but they are still itching for a fight. Jester stopped at what he was doing and paled at the sight. He was massively outnumbered. Hestia raised her hand and a pillar of flames rose with her hand motion from beneath Jester's feet. He incinerated almost instantly.

The demigods rushed in to their dying leader. Thalia was close to tears after seeing how horrible Percy looked. Thalia laid his head on her lap as she pleadingly looked at the goddesses present. "Do something, please!"

A hand laid on Thalia's shoulder. Thalia was about to smack it off but when she looked at the person, it was Chaos. No one paid him any attention, so Thalia was sure that she was the only one who could see the deity. Chaos put a hand on Percy's forehead, sending a pulse of dark light through his body. Instantly, his wound healed up slowly, but surely. The colour was returning to his face and his breathing steadied. Thalia wanted to thank Chaos, but the deity had already left.

"He regenerates fast," Artemis noted. "Maybe because of his powers?"

"I think so," Jason said, but he knew better. "Where are the other gods?"

Line Break

After the whole council had healed, all of them took their seats. The army of Olympus settled in with just sitting on the marble floor, tired and beat up but clearly satisfied that they had won the battle. There was no mood for celebration since the casualties have brought down the whole number of demigod to half the original number.

Percy was still sleeping soundly on Percy's lap, much to Zeus's and Artemis's discomfort. Hestia smiled at them. Artemis was still a bit annoyed that Percy left her that he and Thalia are engaged in such a short notice.

"I suppose I should congratulate our heroes for defending Olympus." Zeus said, trying to swallow his pride. It wasn't easy to do so when he'd stayed away unconscious during the fight and let everyone battle to themselves.

"What my brother is trying to say is," Hestia intervened. "Congratulations on winning this war, young heroes. You have brought great peace to Olympus and to your demigod siblings alike."

Cheers that were surprisingly loud came from them, grinning like crazy. Of course they were sad, but they couldn't dwell on that. That's the nature of war. There will be losses, from both sides.

"A ceremony should be held!" Zeus announced. "Tonight, Olympus will be in the mood to celebrate."

Again, cheers from everyone.

"I have but one request to make," Hestia asked. "I need just a moment from the Olympian council and the warriors of Chaos." They understood and all of them left except for the ones mentioned.

"What's wrong, sister?" Zeus asked.

"I believe they should be rewarded, shouldn't they?" Hestia asked. "After heroically defending Olympus and their home, they deserved nothing less."

The five warriors, excluding Percy, looked at each other, a silent understanding passed between them.

"I thank you for your kindness, Lady Hestia, but we have a realization between us." Nico said.

"We've been demigods for far too long and we're getting too old to fight." Piper continued.

"We wish to have a normal peaceful life in exchange. We want to pass the torch to someone else." Reyna added.

Percy's eyes fluttered open. He yawned, as if he'd just woken up from a long nap. "Where are we?" He asked nonchalantly, as if he wasn't in the presence of the King of Gods. They found Percy's ignorance to be amusing as a smile crept into Zeus's face.

"We're at Olympus, Kelp Brain," Thalia smiled at him. "In front of the council."

Percy looked at her for a few seconds, taking a moment to fully register her words. His eyes widened and Thalia nodded. He quickly got up, not wanting to get into more trouble with Zeus and Artemis. Even though both immortals didn't seemed to thrilled about him getting too close with Thalia, they couldn't help but smile at his behaviour.

"Are you finally awake, Perseus?" Zeus mused.

"Uh, yes, um, Lord Zeus." Percy flustered, setting off a round of laughter. They explained what happened when he passed out. He didn't seem to be paying attention because he was constantly slipping back to Morpheus's realm, but he caught most of it.

"I think I'm going with my friends on this one," Percy smiled. "I've been in the demigod life for too long and I've seen too many deaths and wars. I wish to live a peaceful life."

Zeus beamed at the demigods in front of him. He was proud of them and not just his children. "I shall respect your wishes and you will all get to live normally. But of course, we can do better than that."

"What do you mean?" Percy asked.

"Consider it a pension for your retirement," Zeus said. "You'll know when you see it."

The demigods bowed. "Thank you, Lord Zeus."

While Zeus had finished what he had to say, Artemis had something else in mind. "Perseus, mind if I talk with you for a moment?"

Percy paled. He knew where this was going, and he knew it wasn't going to be pretty. "Um, can I use the bathroom first?"

Artemis fixed him with a glare. "I want to talk to you," Everyone wondered why Artemis looked annoyed. What happened between her and Percy?

Percy tried his best to act casual. "Um, I can explain . . ."

"Please do," Artemis said. "Explain how you are engaged to Thalia?"

There was a brief moment of silence. Then, everyone exclaimed, "WHAT?!"

"You guys are engaged?" Nico asked. "For real?"

"You told them?" Thalia asked.

"You didn't want to tell us?" Jason demanded.

Percy groaned. He grabbed Thalia's hand and sprouted his single wing before flying away from the throne room. They could wait later. Percy snaked his arms around Thalia's waist and pulled her closer for a kiss in the midnight. The other demigods gathered outside of Olympus cheered on this, whistling in approval. Percy pulled away and smirked at her.

Percy looked down on Olympus, the gods and demigods all staring at them. Percy half expected Zeus or Artemis to get mad and start to strike them down from the sky, but they sighed and just smiled at the couple, clearly happy that Thalia found love.

Line Break

During the ceremony, the atmosphere was surprisingly happy and merry. The Romans had never been to an Olympian party before, but they sure did like it. Everyone was in a partying mood. Percy got asked to dance almost by everyone, including goddesses. He just smiled and goes with it. By the time he finally got some rest, his legs were sore.

He sat over at the bar (serving non-alcoholic drinks, of course), and asked for a glass of nectar. The bartender gave him a glass of one. Being immortal, Percy didn't have to worry about over digesting.

Then, he noticed Jason and Nico sitting next to him. Jason looked elated while Nico looked like someone kept stepping on his toes, which was probably the case.

"I'm never dancing with giggling dryads again," Nico whined. "Their feet are incredible hard and heavy."

Jason and Percy laughed. "So, what's next?"

"What do you mean?" Jason asked.

"After all of this," Percy gestured at Olympus. "What are we going to do?"

"We'll try and live our lives normally, of course," Jason sighed. "Our time as demigods is up. It's time we retire, Percy,"

"You're making me feel old," Percy rolled his eyes. "Anyway, here's to having a normal life," Percy raised his glass. Jason and Nico did the same and tapped their glasses together before downing their drinks.

"Oh, congratulations on the marriage, Jason," Nico grinned.

"Wait, you got married?" Percy asked. "When?"

"Believe it or not, I was the one who wedded them," Nico said. "In the middle of the freaking battlefield."

"Hey, can you blame me?" Jason shrugged. "If I knew we were going to live, I would've waited."

"Who else knew about this?" Percy asked.

"Just you guys," Jason said. "I was going to tell everyone after this, but never did have the guts to do it,"

"'Cause Jason's a wimp," Nico teased.

"Shut up!"

"Let me help you with that," Percy smirked. "Meet me near the Nine Muses," He extended his single wing and flew into the centre of the party, searching for Piper. When he saw Piper dancing with Apollo, Percy smiled. He landed near them and tapped at Apollo. "Lord Apollo, can I borrow Piper for a moment? It's important,"

"Sure thing, Percy," Apollo flashed a smile before dancing with someone else.

"What's wrong, Percy?" Piper asked.

"Follow me," Percy grabbed her hand and flew towards where the Nine Muses were acting as a band, where Jason was waiting. He looked nervous as Jason set Piper down next to him.

"Hey, Pipes," Jason said as he leaned in to kiss her.

"Hey Jason," Piper smiled but rolled her eyes.

"Can I borrow this?" Percy asked to the one that held the microphone. She nodded and handed it to Percy. Percy tapped the microphone a few times. "Hello? Hello? Testing, hello?"

A few people looked at him as the music abruptly stopped. "Can I have everyone's attention please?" All eyes turned towards them, gods and demigods alike. "Is everyone here? Good. Can someone video tape this because it's going to be epic."

"Percy? What are you doing?" Piper asked.

Percy ignored her. "A demigod life is never an easy one. You have to fight through monsters and people that often be a trouble for you. Some might not even make it through the journey. Others, even after they made it through, they never would find peace." Percy said. All the demigods nodded in understanding. "The life of a demigod is not an easy one but if you make it through, the reward is priceless. You will find happiness in places you'd never thought you'll find. So I urge all of you, fight through your life as a demigod. Make it worth living, and you might just end up like these two lovebirds." The crowd cheered in approval.

"But what made them some happy? What did they gain after fighting through endless struggles?" Percy grinned. Jason flashed him a smile and nodded. "Ladies and gentleman, please present the newly wedded, Mr and Ms Grace!" As Percy announced the husband and wife, the crowd cheered even louder. It got even louder when Jason kissed Piper in public.

Jason then grabbed the microphone from Percy's hand. "Not to mention, our engaged and soon-to-be married couple, Percy Jackson and Thalia Grace!" Thunder rumbled in approval as the crowd roared, which was probably heard all the way down to New York.

And you thought New York was loud.

Line Break (A/N: a closure for everyone. A mini-epilogue, you'd say.)

A month later, the demigods got what they wished for from the gods. A peaceful and normal life.

They understood what Zeus meant when he said a pension for retirement. They'd gifted the warriors a house to get settled in to. It wasn't anything fancy or expensive, but just about everything a couple would ask for.

Jason and Piper finally settled down with a house of their own. If you put aside the demigod act, they looked like your normal everyday couple. Jason was happy with it.

"Good morning, Ms Grace," Jason smiled as he hugged his wife from behind.

His wife . . .

Jason will never get used, nor will he get tired to call Piper that. Piper smiled at him and kissed him lightly. "Come on Jason, I've got to prepare breakfast. You don't want to start your morning hungry, do you now?"

Jason chuckled and kissed her cheek.

Nico and Reyna became a couple, and were still struggling to get used to each other's presence. Since both of them liked to live alone, being in the same house with someone else was something they were not used to. Even after ten years of living together in a room with each other back at Azurea.

"Nico," Reyna growled. "How many times have I told you to put the toilet seat down?"

"Not this again," Nico groaned.

Despite the constant little argument, Nico and Reyna were happy with each other. They knew the arguments weren't serious and they knew that they were just doing so to annoy each other.

As for Thalia and Percy, well, they had one more job to do.

Percy and Thalia were walking in the streets of New York, to a university that was a bit out of place.

"Remind me again, what are we doing here?" Thalia asked.

"Hestia said it would lead to one of the answers I seek," Percy said. The ring had finally given him a sign. An address popped into his head and he knew he had to go there. "I don't know what it leads to, but I wanna find out."

"Whatever it is, I'm going with you," Thalia said reassuringly. Percy grinned as he laced his fingers through her. Percy wanted the normal life as well, so he asked Chaos to get rid of his immortality and blessings. It was a painful process, but he pulled through. Artemis didn't look very happy, releasing Thalia from her hunter's oath, but she was happy that her sister finally found the love of her life.

So now, they're just normal demigods. Well, as normal as you can be when you're a demigod.

After a few minutes, they reached the university. "What are we supposed to look for in here?" Thalia asked.

"I guess we'll know when we see it," Percy shrugged, deciding to play it by the ear. The students were walking around, some walking into the university and some walking out. Nothing struck as familiar to Percy here. In fact, he felt completely alien. "I'm guessing it's not going to be busy."

"I'm going to bathroom for a minute," Thalia said as she went into the school. Percy sighed. He had no idea what to look for, and he had no idea what he was going to find.

Then he felt something ran into him from behind and he heard a female yelp. Percy tumbled to the ground as he heard the sound of books and paper hitting the ground.

"Sorry!" The woman said. "I didn't watch where I was going and I'm in a bit of a hurry,"

Percy groaned as he sat up. "It's okay," Percy said. Why does her voice sound familiar? "Here, let me help you out," Percy helped gathered her books together. Percy scanned the title of her books, and most of it was thick books about architecture, something only Annabeth would love. "Architecture, huh?"

"Yeah, I've got a class after this," The woman said. Percy couldn't quite see her, because her face was covered with a few plan folders. Percy caught a glimpse of blonde hair behind it.

"Well, I don't want to hold you back," Percy said. He wanted to hand her books back, but he wasn't sure if she'll make it to her class without running into someone else again. "I'll help you with your stuff."

"Oh, I don't want to be a burden,"

"Nah, it's okay." Percy smiled. "I've got some time to kill." Percy still couldn't see her face, not that it mattered anyway.

"Really? Thanks," The woman said. "Well, this way." She led the way to her class. Percy didn't know how she could see with all that plans in front of her. After a few turns and a few close calls in colliding with other people, they made it to her class without a hitch. The class was still empty, so she sighed in relief.

"No one's here yet." Percy stated out.

"Yeah, its twenty minutes before class starts," The woman said. "I like to come in early."

"And you said you were rushing," Percy mused. "Well, I'd better go. I don't want my fiancée to wait for me. Where should I put this?"

"Oh, just put it at the table," The woman said. She turned around and put her folders in one of the drawers. "Thanks for the help, uh,"

"Percy," Percy offered.

"Percy," The woman said. "I've heard of that name before. Are you British?"

"Do I sound British?"

"Point taken," She said. "Well, thanks again." Percy was about to walk towards the door when he turned around to see her face from the side. He saw just a glance of her grey eyes before she turned around, facing away from Percy. For a moment, he could've sworn on Chaos that it was Annabeth, but he wasn't really sure, so he just shrugged and went out.

The woman, on the other hand, was busy preparing things for students. The first one walked in and grinned at the teacher. "You're here early, Mr Daniels," The woman said.

"Says the teacher who gets in here twenty minutes before class even began," The student said. "The legendary Annabeth Chase."

"Please don't address me like that," Annabeth said with a smile. "I am you teacher after all,"

"Who's the guy that walked out of here earlier?" Her student wiggled his eyebrows at Annabeth. "Is he your boyfriend?"

"What? Gods, no!" Annabeth blushed. "He was just helping me with some stuff." Although Annabeth didn't want to admit it, but that guy seemed familiar to him.

Had she met him before?

She was disrupted out of her thoughts when more students came pouring into the classroom.

Line Break

Percy walked towards where Thalia was waiting, and she was frowning a bit.

"Where did you go?" Thalia asked.

"I was helping one of the teachers here," Percy grinned. "It was only for a minute. Did you miss me already?"

Thalia punched his chest. "Come on, there's nothing here,"

Percy looked at the university building, and then he thought about that teacher. He never got her name, nor did he ever get a full view of her face, but everything about her seemed like Annabeth. Her love for architecture, her tendency to be twenty minutes early, which was practically on time for someone like Annabeth, her blonde hair and that confident voice, like she knew what she was talking about and those stormy grey eyes. Everything about it sounded like Annabeth.

Then he remembered that Annabeth said she didn't go to Elysium. Percy assumed she went to Asphodel or worse, the Fields of Punishment, but that wasn't it. Maybe she went to the Isles of Blest, and got reborn.

If that's so, then she's walking around this Earth right now, reborn into another person.

Then that woman must've been . . .

"Percy!" Thalia snapped her fingers in front of him. "Gods, what's wrong with you?"

"Uh, what?"

"You were spacing out," Thalia rolled her eyes. "Come on, we're gonna be late for Lucia's graduation."

"Oh, right," Percy said.

He wondered if that woman might've been Annabeth and if that was what Hestia wanted Percy to find. He sighed deeply.

Another question left unanswered.

A/N: Sorry, but that, but I couldn't help it (insert innocent smile here). Believe me, I want to make Percy meet Annabeth just as bad as you do, but that would be boring now, wouldn't it? This is the ending and I hope you will accept it. There will be no sequel, no spin off stories or any other shits. If you wanna do a sequel, gotta do it yourself. I never did intend this story to go over 100k words. Of course, the update rate has been killing everyone, so sorry about that.

Time for a quick FAQ

Why the late updates?

I honestly don't have an answer for that. Do only thing I can do is apologize for making this story so goddamn long.

Where's Frank, HazAre yel and Leo?

Yes, the trio that's barely mentioned in any of my fanfic. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Frank, Leo and Hazel are not my favourite characters to begin with. I like them, no offence, but they're not my favourite. Sorry guys.

Is this a Perlia or Percabeth?

I guess I'm torn between the two, and so is Percy, but I'm classifying this as a Perlia with a bit of Jasper in it.

A lot of powers but no use.

Yep, one of the plot holes in my storyline. I kinda put in too many powers and ended up not using them as much. But hey, I was making this as I go. I hadn't completely thought it true. You might not believe it, but it's true.

That ending.

Yep, what about it? I'm not leaving it like that for a sequel. I left the story like that and leave the ending to your imagination. It's one way to piss you guys but make you happy at the same time. Why don't you tell me in the review your ideal ending?

Are you planning on making a seq-

No. I don't think a sequel would be necessary for this one. I did intend for this to be a one stand fanfic.

An epilogue.

That depends. Do you guys want an epilogue? Leave it in the review.

Well, I think I answered most of you unanswered shit.

I think everything was too rushed. Did it seemed rushed to you? If so, leave it in the reviews. Heck, leave something in the reviews. I wanna know how you guys felt about the ending, muahahahah!

I failed on that evil laugh. Anyway, it's been a fun trip. That was the end of 'Back to the Way I Was'. Now I can finally focus on other things. So, leave a review if you like or hate it. Like I said, a review always helps. Until then, take care.
