Poor Vivian

"Vivian, I am so sick of your persistent insolence!" Beldam's voice pierced the air like a violent strike of lightning.

Lifting her head, Vivian peered discreetly into her older sister's room, making sure not to be seen at all. In her mind, the girl began to wonder what she had so foolishly done this time, according to her sister. Vivian knew she probably didn't do anything 'wrong' and that her sister was just displaying her usual horridness towards her.

"Vivian, you slouch! Where are you?" Her sister wretchedly yawped, obviously looking for her.

"Guh guh!"

"Marilyn, will you quit your incompetent yowling? It's highly irritating!"

Vivian removed her attention from the room and slid into the shadows, disappearing from sight. She did not feel like facing her sister's wrath today. The female was so sick of Beldam and so tired of her always blaming her for any unfortunate event taking place.

Going outside, Vivian came out of the shadows, releasing a forlorn sigh. Why, oh why did Beldam have to be so ugly to her? Vivian always did her best to impress her older sister and to make her happy, but her sibling never seemed to be satisfied. It appeared as if Beldam found some sort of pleasure in hurting her feelings!

Huffing, Vivian could hear her sister again from within their little home.

"Vivian, where are you hiding, you ungrateful little oaf?! Come out now or you will receive a heinous punishment from me!"

"Guuuuuh!"

"Marilyn, enough of your unnecessary babbling!"

"Guh…"

Vivian ignored her and moved away from the house, going as far away as possible from the abode. Right now, she wanted nothing to do with Beldam. Vivian could tolerate Marilyn, but never Beldam.

"Sorry, sis…but I can't take it anymore." Vivian commented to herself, disappearing into the shadows once more.

She had come to a decision.

Poor Vivian was going to run away from home and never return. Yes, she would miss her sisters, but she had enough of Beldam and her absurd accusations against her. Vivian was no longer going to take the disrespect from her sibling. Now, if Beldam wished to be cruel to someone, she could do so to Marilyn.

"No more…" Vivian murmured to herself, coming out of the shadows once she was far enough from the house she shared with her siblings.

Then she was gone.
