Elsa gazed at the dress laid out on her bed. It was perfect really - strapless and pale blue, glittering sequins splayed out in a waterfall to the floor. Much to perfect for me to wear, thought Elsa dejectedly. She hadn't even picked it out. She hadn't even planned on going to prom. Thinking of being around other people made her nervous really. All she could imagine when she heard the word prom was standing alone on the dance floor, taunts ringing in her ears and a miserable expression on her face while she watched Anna go crazy over Kristoff. Anna knew this all, but she still insisted that Elsa accompany her and Kristoff to the prom.

Anna had insisted from the day they made the announcement. "Els!" she had pleaded, her eyes growing wide. "It's your senior year! You have to go to prom!" Elsa had just rolled her eyes, brushed it off. Yet somehow, a week later she found herself browsing through rows upon rows of sparkling dresses with her sister. She remembered how the woman had asked if the two were going together. How she said she could get them matching dresses if they liked. Anna had quickly laughed and said they were just sisters, but the question had stuck with Elsa. Did she want them to be going together? No. That was absurd. Or was it?

She stepped into her dress and let out her hair. She might as well deal with it, just for tonight. It's just to make Anna happy, she told herself. As if she had read Elsa's thoughts, the redhead burst into the room, a toothy smile on her face. "Hey Els can I borrow…wow. Just wow. You look so…wow. I knew that dress would look good on you." Elsa smiled and blushed in a silent thank you.

"Yes, you can borrow my eye shadow. You're welcome." Elsa smirked.

"How did you…?" Anna began.

"I'm your sister Anna. I know you." Elsa laughed and handed over the pale pink eye shadow to her eager sister. The redhead just shook her head in amazement. Elsa watched her toss her hair, looking at each curl bounce. She had let her hair down for the night, and Elsa knew that her sister looked more beautiful than she ever had. She had pinned flowers in her hair, which was curled to perfection. The dress was blue velvet with swirling lace patterns of pink and green decorating the hem. Anna sashayed out the room, humming. The blonde watched her leave, memorizing the way her hips swayed gently, making her dress swish.

"Wait! Anna!" Elsa called out to the slowly disappearing form. Anna reappeared five minutes later, pink eye shadow accenting her sparkling blue eyes. "Anna I don't know how to dance," Elsa confessed.

"Oh Els!" cried Anna. "Why didn't you tell me? Here, I'll teach you! No better time than now," she said, turning on some music. "Here, put your hands on my shoulders. Mine go on your waist. And now we dance!"

"Like this?" questioned the blonde, placing her pale hands on the redhead's shoulders and giving a gentle squeeze.

"Exactly!" squealed Anna excitedly, picking her sister up and spinning her around. The two danced around Elsa's bedroom, narrowly avoiding furniture everywhere. The speed of the music picked up and so did the movement of the two. They spun around the room, laughing as they got dizzier and dizzier. Elsa could earnestly admit that it was the most fun she'd had in a while. "Wait wait wait Els I have something for you!" Anna yelled, stopping suddenly and causing Elsa to topple over. "I bought you this the other week. I thought you would like it." The redhead pulled out a shimmering necklace, with strands of crystal so fine that they looked like ice

"It's beautiful," breathed Elsa. "Anna you shouldn't have."

"Well I mean it's for you! It is beautiful, like you." Elsa smiled and accepted the necklace, allowing Anna to fasten it around her neck. Maybe prom wouldn't be so bad after all.
