Surprise! A new chapter. It's short but hopefully it will be short and sweet.

You Couldn't be Boring If You Tried

"Babe, I don't think you could be boring if you tried."

"Is that an insult about my acting, that I couldn't be boring if "I tried"?" Jade said outraged.

"No, babe I was just using a common expression. I was in NO way talking about your acting abilities. HEAR ME," Beck said as he placed his hands on either side of her head," You personally couldn't be boring, EVER. As an actor you could act boring if needed."

"Okay."

"Where is this coming from anyway?"

"Well, when I was with the girls, Cat and Tori and a couple of their friends, they were all either complaining or swapping wild stories about their crazy dating lives and I didn't relate to any of them. The only person I related to was Tori's friend Bethany and she's married with a kid. She's also kind of boring. And by kind of I mean she is completely boring. A total snooze fest. By that time in the conversation I realized I really didn't want to be there. Not like my usual "I don't what to be here because I hate everything". More like I don't want to be here because I'd rather be at home with you just watching tv and eating Chinese food," Jade confessed from where she laying down next to Beck in their bed. He was laying on his right side with one arm draped over her stomach in their dark apartment. The street light from outside streamed through the small window and the sound of cars on the busy street and people filing out of the bar across the street softly rippled through the air.

"Well babe," Beck contemplatively stated after a long pause, "I guess I'm just so awesome that watching tv with me at home just beats everything else. You know my philosophy normal's boring. Well, I guess that sentiment doesn't apply in this case. It's more we're so cool even our normal isn't boring," Beck said feeling pretty proud of himself.

"Please, I'm the one that makes you not boring. I also hate almost everything so our little cocoon in the world does beat being out there with all those losers," Jade dreamily said.

"Yeah. Hey, I'm not boring."

"Face it babe. You'd be way boring if you didn't have me in your life. You'd totally be a laid back Canadian Hipster if you didn't have me. And there's nothing worse than being a hipster. But I guess you are somewhat correct. Your ambiguous racial look and good hair save you from being boring. People see you and automatically think you're cool because of your dark mysterious good looks and they spend so much time trying to figure out what race you are that they don't hear you speak. Those two things and me are your saving grace," Jade stated trying to stay as serious as possible before letting out a laugh.

"Sure," Beck said sarcastically but smiling.

"I just don't want us to ever become a boring couple, like your parents who never celebrate anniversaries or birthdays. Or like the one producer you worked with, Sam and his wife, who only talk about gardening and cooking like it is the most fascinating thing in the world."

"Yeah, that was a boring night when we hung out with them."

"Let's make a vow right now. We will never be one of those couples. If I ever drone on about cooking or gardening just, I don't know, make me snap out of it," Jade suggested.

"Deal. I got your back. And I vow to always try to make anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays special."

"Deal."

"Deal," Jade agreed and punctuated it with a slow kiss.

"Anyways, when it comes to us as a couple might I remind you that we had sex against a wall last night. Yeah, last night. "Mr. Boring" here made it worth your while. You were doing anything but complaining. Boring people aren't having sex against a wall."

"You're right. Although, we hadn't done that in like a few months."

"Are you saying that we need to make some sort of goal to have sex against a wall on a regular basis. Is sex against a wall our boring barometer?" Beck said grinning as he shifted placing himself on top of Jade supporting himself with his forearms.

Jade stifled a laugh.

"So like, once a month, the third Tuesday of every month, once a week,…." Beck rambled on as Jade pulled him in for a kiss.

"Scheduling it would make us boring," Jade stated before pulling Beck in for another kiss.

"Hey, wouldn't being Canadian be worse than being a hipster?" Beck said as Jade rolled her eyes and silenced Beck's laugh with another kiss as she pushed him onto his back and took control.

Please be kind and rewind, I mean review. My goal with these later chapters is to make the marriage topic slowly encroach itself into bade's lives to where they can't avoid or put it off anymore. They will have to finally deal with the marriage thing and decide what they want. If you have any ideas on the marriage topic for bade drop a review and let me know. I'm already working on the next chapter where they attend a wedding...
