Day 4
The Gold Clan

"Maa… This rain is making me feel down…" Totsuka said in disappointment as he looked out of the window, staring at the gray clouds with droplets of water endlessly falling down to earth.

The light-brown-haired man turned around to face his friends. They were hanging around the bar in their usual spot. Kusanagi was behind the counter, polishing his precious wine glass. King and Anna were at the usual couch, sleeping. Yata and the others were at the other side of the bar, talking. The cameraman let out a sigh as he went over to sit on the barstool. There hasn't been anything exciting happening for the past three days and Hikari hasn't even come once to pay a visit!

Two days ago, Anna tried to find the brunette by using her marbles, but it was no use. The young white-haired girl can't find the mysterious girl. Her marbles kept on circling around the map and it never stops, unless she was the one who stopped it. She never gave up. It was weird. She can track anyone down in a matter of seconds. She can track Riku down, but she can't track Hikari. It was as if the girl didn't exist anymore.

Everyone in HOMRA also thinks that Hikari wasn't real, a fake, a figment of their imagination… or a ghost as much as Yata hates to admit it. They thought Riku was a crazy teenage boy with a high imagination who can see ghosts and make everyone see it, believing that it was real. They believed that. A Strain that has the powers to manipulate everyone into believing something that wasn't supposed to exist.

Totsuka kept on staring outside the window. "…it's been three days since Riku and Hikari-chan came." He said, glancing to the old-fashioned camera in his hand. He and Anna were the only ones who believed that Hikari was real. He filmed her and he was sure that she was as real as him and anybody else. And the gift Hikari gave Anna was solid and of course, real. The light-brown-haired man pondered with a hand on his chin. "I wonder when those two will come back…" he thought out loud.

Kusanagi looked up as he stopped polishing his wine glass for a few seconds. "Do you still believe that Hikari is real?" he asked, even though he already knew the answer. It was obvious that Totsuka still believed in her.

Totsuka turned to face Kusanagi with a happy smile. "Uh-huh! I do! She's definitely a real girl. You did see she eat curry three days ago, right?" he asked back, walking to sit on one of the barstools in front of the bartender. The man placed his camera on the counter, turning on his seat to face Yata when he heard a snort came from the Vanguard. "Maa, Yata! She poked you too right?"

Yata blushed a little. "So what?! I told you guys that she's a witch!" he crossed his arms, a frown on his lips.

Chitose laughed as he wrapped an arm around Yata's shoulder. "Then you got hexed, Yata!" he joked, earning a good whack to the back of his head by the Vanguard himself.

"BAKA!"

Totsuka smiled as Kusanagi stares at the scene with a frown. The cameraman suddenly remembered something as he snapped his fingers and stood up from the barstool, making Kusanagi stare at him. "I almost forgot! We almost ran out of tomatoes! And we're having spaghetti tonight!" He exclaimed as he head towards the door.

Kusanagi laughed dryly. "What did remind you of tomatoes anyway?" the boys were talking about witches and that couldn't possibly trigger Totsuka's memories to buy tomatoes, right? Or did it?

Totsuka took his jacket from the coat rack, putting it on before opening the door. "Ah! It stopped raining! Lucky me~!" he sang to himself as he stepped through the door. He turned his gaze over his shoulder, giving a peace sign to Kusanagi. "I'll be back in fifteen minutes or so!" he said happily.

"Alright…"

~[K]~

"Hmmm~" Totsuka hummed a joyful tone as he searched through the dairy section, looking for the milk brand he usually bought. He smiled to himself when he found it, grabbing two cartons and a few yogurts to add to his empty basket. He grabbed the packed tomatoes, smiling to himself. The light-brown-haired man went to the cashier to pay, picking up a bag of sugar on his way there. He waited in line between two suspicious looking customers. He didn't even feel the slightest of fear.

"T-That will be 350 yen, s-sir." The cashier stuttered as he scanned the canned coffee, giving it to the chubby stranger. The man didn't pull out money from his wallet. Instead, he kept on staring at the employee. "Sir?"

The man pulled his hand out from his jacket, a gun gripped tightly in his hand. He lifted his hand up quickly to slide the rack and pointed the gun directly at the cashier.

"Give me all the money! Now!" he ordered as the cashier raised his hands up in surrender. From the corner of his eyes, he saw one of the customers at the junkfood aisle holding her cell phone, staring at him with wide horrified eyes. He fired near the woman as a warning shot. "And don't you dare call the police! I'll kill you all!" he shouted, turning back to the cashier who paled. "Well? Hurry up!" he yelled again.

The cashier shrieked. He opened the cash register, taking the paper bills and coins out with shaking hands.

Totsuka has his mouth hung open, staring in shock. "Ah! You can't—," He didn't get to finish when the gun was pointed directly at his forehead. The cameraman took a step back in shock, dropping the basket to raise his hands up in surrender. He wasn't really the one to fight anyone. In fact, he was the peacemaker of HOMRA! "Waaa! Wa-Wait a minute!"

"Shut the f*ck up and give me your d*mn money!"

"E-Eh?" Totsuka blinked before reached for his wallet at the front pocket of his pants. He pulled out his wallet with a panic look, taking out a thousand yen bill to give to the thief. He smiled wryly as he gave his only money to the thief. The masked man snatched the money away from Totsuka in a rude way, a scowl escaped his lips. "What's wrong?" the cameraman asked with his head slightly tilted.

"Cih! Is this all you have?!" The thief clicked his tongue in annoyance as he raised his gun to point it at Totsuka's head once more. He grabbed Totsuka by his collar, who flinched in return. The gun was pressed on Totsuka's temple as the thief placed his finger around the trigger, ready to pull it any time. "Stop playing around!" he yells.

Totsuka stared at the thief.

The thief clicked his tongue, raising his gun up to knock Totsuka out by hitting his head with the gun.

Totsuka closed his eyes tightly, embracing the pain that has yet to come.

A hand suddenly grabbed the thief's wrist, preventing him from hitting Totsuka with his gun. Totsuka snapped his eyes wide open and turned his gaze over his left shoulder to find the other masked man standing right beside him. His gloved hand held the thief's wrist in a firm grip, tightening it every passing second.

"Let go you mother fuc—!" The thief suddenly found his gun slipped pass through his fingers as his hand freezes with the masked man's hand still gripping his right wrist. The masked man pushed Totsuka back by his shoulder, making him fall on his bottom. The thief stared at the masked man with wide eyes as he drew back his hand, punching him in the face as he released his grip on the thief's wrist. The thief fell on his back on the clean floor. He quickly stood up, spitting in the process. "You little b*stard think you can take me down?! Well think again!" he pulled out a hidden pocket knife as he charged at the masked man.

Totsuka's eyes widened. "Look out!" he warned.

The masked man swerved to the side, avoiding the knife. He punched the man's stomach, knocking the knife out of his hand. His gloved hand grabbed the back of the thief's jacket and his other hand grabbed the thief's right wrist, twisting it behind his back as the thief's face was slammed to the counter.

"Alright! Alright! I give!" the thief shouted in pain.

The masked man stared at him for a moment before roughly pulling the thief up straight by the back of his collar. He released his grip on his wrist once again and twisted around on his heels. The thief felt airborne for a few seconds as he was lifted off the ground and over the masked man's shoulder. The thief groaned in pain when he collided to the floor with a loud thud. The masked man tied the thief up using the duck-tape that was located on top of a box.

"Amazing…" Totsuka mumbled from where he sat. The masked man must have heard him since he turned around to face him. Slowly, he made his way to the brunette. Totsuka blinked when the man reached his hand out for him to take. He smiled a little before taking the offering hand that pulled him up with a tug. "Thank you." he thanked with a warm smile, his head slightly tilted down.

The black sunglasses the masked man was wearing slides down a little to revile bright blue eyes underneath. Totsuka blinked as the stranger pushed his sunglasses back up. For a man that seemed to be specialized in martial art, he seemed a little short compared to Totsuka… and feminine. The brunet gasped in realization. He has seen those eyes before. Could it possibly be…?

"Hikari…chan?" Totsuka asked, a little unsure if that was the girl underneath the mask that covers to the bridge of her nose and black sunglasses. His eyes were as wide as plates when the girl pulled the mask down and took the sunglasses off. It really was Hikari! "EH?!"

"Is that your way to say 'thank you'?" Hikari asked, snickering as she picked up Totsuka's fallen groceries.

"No, but—!"

"Thank you so much!" Totsuka was cut off when the voice of the cashier and the woman cried out loudly in thanks. The brunet lifted his head up to see the cashier smiling happily at Hikari—who quickly turned around to pull her mask up before turning to face them both, but her eyes didn't look at their face. "Is there anything I can do for you, sir?" the cashier asked.

Hikari gave him Totsuka's basket. "Just check this out." she said, lowering her voice to sound like a man. The cashier nodded before scanning the items inside the basket. Totsuka and Hikari waited for the man to finish. The brunette turned her head to face the entrance, the police were coming and it was starting to rain again. She grabbed a transparent umbrella from rack that says 'SALE' in big bold red letters. "And this too." she gave the umbrella to the cashier.

Totsuka saw the screen that says 980 yen. He pulled out his wallet, but froze when he remembered that the thief took his money. "A-Ah… sorry my money is…" he was silenced when Hikari pulled out a thousand yen from her pocket, or more precisely…his money. "That is…"

The cashier shook his head. "Think of it as a thank you for saving us and this store." He smiled, refusing to take the money.

Hikari nodded her head and gave the thousand yen to Totsuka as the cashier handed him the plastic bag and the umbrella. Her head perked up at the sound of sirens coming towards the store. She quickly went out of the automatic doors, dragging Totsuka with her as she ignored the cashier's words for her to stay so he could report that he saved the day. She simply refused to let the media know that she was here at Shizume City. Scepter 4 is already on her tail and she doesn't want more.

The masked brunette opened her new umbrella and stood under it with Totsuka and the two walked in silence. They were heading to nowhere in particular and Totsuka was just following.

Deciding to break the silence, Totsuka placed a hand on Hikari's shoulder. "Thank you, Hikari-chan. That was a brave thing you did there! Although… not many girls disguise herself as a man to be a hero…" he laughed a little.

The keyblade wielder let out a sigh. "It's just my job." She said bluntly. "You don't need to thank me." She added.

Totsuka shook his head, smiling. "You know… Anna-chan miss you and the others think you're just a ghost." He rubs the back of his neck, a sheepish smile forming on his lips.

The brunette laughed, but it was muffled by the mask. "Hah! Idiots!"

The cameraman chuckled. "Maa Hikari-chan, that's mean." He said before the two walked in silence again. The brunet suddenly stops making the rain hit his head. Realizing Totsuka wasn't beside her anymore, she turned around to see Totsuka standing in front of a fending machine, humming to himself. She sighed before going over to the man, bringing him back under the umbrella. He took a few coins out and inserted them in to the fending machine. He pressed the blinking red button that has a picture of a bottled milk tea twice. He bends down picking up the two small bottles, giving one to the girl after twisting the plastic lid around. "As a thank you!" he cheerfully said, opening his own plastic cap.

Hikari took the bottle with a smile. She pulls down the mask with the same hand that was holding the bottle, carefully so that the contents of the warm bottle won't spill. "Thanks, Totsuka-san." She tipped the bottle slightly up, drinking the warm milk tea.

Totsuka watched the girl finish her drink and she threw the bottle at the trashcan beside the fending machine. "And as another way of saying thank you, I'm inviting you to dinner at HOMRA!"

Hikari almost chocked. "Hah?"

"We're having spaghetti for dinner and caramel pudding for dessert~!"

As much as the keyblade wielder wanted to eat with HOMRA, she can't… her mission to find any information about the Organization was still on. Riku was counting on her. King Mickey was counting on her. Anna was counting on her to stop the Organization. She sighed before pulling out her cell phone. It was bought this morning using the money King Mickey gave her. From where the King got the money, she doesn't know. For all she knows, two days ago when she left Shizume City to report everything back to King Mickey, he told her to stay there with Riku for a little longer until the Organization is no more. Of course, the King somehow provided her the things she needs like an over-expensive apartment with a view of the city, clothes and money. The brunette didn't really like the clothes King Mickey got for her, so she stole some from Riku's room since her partner was still in jail because of Saix.

The digital time showed that it was three in the afternoon. Her smartphone buzzed when a big red exclamation point appeared on her screen, blinking on and off. She placed the mask back on and gave the umbrella to Totsuka. "Er… Sorry Tosuka-san… but I've got to go. I'll come by some other time, alright?"

"Ah—," Totsuka didn't have the time to reply as the girl was already running at the opposite direction from HOMRA bar. He stood there under the umbrella, watching as Hikari disappeared, blending perfectly in the crowd. The brunet blinked when something caught his eyes. He bends down and picked up a golden button with detailed designs. He remembered that Hikari's sweater has the same gold buttons like the one he was holding now. "'K'…? What does that mean? King?" he asked himself, a confused look on his face.

~[K]~

"I'm back!" Totsuka opened the door, the small bell jingled from above the door.

"Totsuka! Where have you been?! It's been almost an hour!" The scolding 'mother', Kusanagi, shouted worriedly.

Totsuka laughed nervously, scratching the back of his neck. He closed his umbrella and placed it in the umbrella rack along with the other umbrellas. "Ahahaha, sorry Izumo. I met someone on the way here." he said.

"You met someone, Totsuka-san?" Yata asked from where he sat, his right arm over the back of the chair as he turned his head to grin at the older male.

Totsuka placed the plastic bag on the counter and Kusanagi took them to the back, quickly putting everything away to the right places. The light-brown-haired man nodded his head at Yata as he pulled out the gold button he picked up. He stared at it with a smile before nodding at Yata. "Yup! You could say that she's a customer here~!" he said happily.

"A-Ah…"

~[K]~

Hikari watched as Totsuka entered the bar. She smiled to herself from where she hid. Her black clothing blended perfectly in the shadows, hiding her from any watching eyes. Many just pass by her, dismissing her as a mere homeless 'man'. The keyblade wielder ignored them. Her only goal near HOMRA bar was making sure that Totsuka didn't get into more trouble, since that guy seems to have a habit for getting into trouble. She leaned against the wall when the door to the bar closed and Totsuka was no longer seen.

Her blue eyes caught someone standing on the roof, watching her. The raindrops hit the remaining part of her face that wasn't covered. Her eyebrows furrowed down when the stalker didn't look like any ordinary stalker. It looked like a man wearing a kimono with long sleeves and a rabbit mask that seems to shine despite the gray clouds covering the sun. She kept staring at the rabbit-masked man, hoping that he would notice and go away, but he didn't.

A muffled sigh escaped Hikari's lips as she wiped the rainwater off her eyes. "Oi, Stalker! What are you doing?" she shouted to the man. He said nothing besides turning his face to his right, motioning for the girl to do so as well. Hikari turned to see a black car with the window rolled down, a man with the same mask waiting inside. She raised an eyebrow and warily approached the suspicious vehicle. She slightly leans down to look inside, staring at the masked man. "Who are you?" she asked.

"Our King has invited you to join him in an afternoon tea." The man simply said.

Hikari groaned. 'A tea party? Really?' she thought and inwardly sighed. "Tell your King that I'm not interested in his tea parties, alright? I have something better to do than sit around and sip tea from fine china." She turned around, stepping on a puddle while turning to go inside the dark alley.

"He knows who you are, Keyblade Master."

That title made her froze. She turned around, her eyes wide in surprise. In this world, no one and she means no one knows about keyblade masters, let alone knows what a keyblade is. Knowing that this man who was inside a car wearing a kimono with a gold rabbit mask knows her identity was a real shocker. The keyblade wielder approached the car, leaning down to stare at the man through the window.

"How did you know? What do you know about me? Do you even know who I really am, Rabbit?" Hikari asked suspiciously.

The man's lips were in a thin line, indicating that he was serious. The brunette was feeling a little wary, but nonetheless she opens the door and sat inside the leather seat. She refused to remove her mask, cap and hood as she kept a close eye on the rabbit man. The car began to move forward, breaking through the heavy rain as the passengers sat in silence. Hikari averted her eyes to look out the window. They were passing by many glass buildings that were covered in droplets of rain.

Finally after driving for what seemed like an hour to the keyblade wielder, the car stopped in front of a tall and magnificent glass building. It was taller than the Memory's Skyscraper at the World That Never Was and it was filled with Rabbits in kimonos rather than Heartless and Nobodies. Hikari's door was suddenly opened, startling the brunette. A man with the rabbit uniform stood outside, holding a large opened umbrella. The keyblade wielder stepped out of the black car and stood under the umbrella. She quickly rushed forward without the man behind her.

Hikari held her hand up for the man to not shelter her with the umbrella. It was no use using the umbrella now since she was already soaking wet from the beginning. She craned her neck to stare at the building, gawking at it with her mouth hung open. It was a good thing that she had the mask on, otherwise she would look like a half-dead fish.

The keyblade wielder shook her head and began to walk forward to the entrance. When she stepped inside the lobby, she was greeted by servants in black and gold. Two maids took off her jacket much to her complaints as one of the butlers wrapped a towel around her shoulders, which she was grateful of. They offered a kimono to her courtesy of the Gold King, saying that it's tradition for a female guest to dress properly in front of a King. She refused bluntly, saying that she doesn't like dressing up.

"Welcome, Hikari, correct?" A deep elderly voice said. Hikari lifted her head up and tipped her cap upwards to stare at the old man wearing a kimono. The white-haired man gave a small smile despite his grim looking face. He stood on the stairs, not walking down to greet the keyblade wielder. His arms were behind his back. In some way, he was similar to Ansem the Wise. Hikari nodded slowly as she wrapped the towel closer. The old man smiled. "Well then, follow me, child. I am sure you are curious as well. We shall discuss everything over tea." He said, turning around.

Hikari's hands clenched at her sides. She furrowed her eyebrows down, staring at the old man intensely. She could feel the powerful aura around him. 'Just who is this old man?' she thought, walking up the stairs to follow the old man. She averted her eyes to the two men in gold rabbit masks following behind her. 'Or better yet… what kind of world is this?'
