Very nice story! I honestly do not know anything about Qing Dynasty stuff, despite living in Beijing for 2 years. My brain just rejects the information the teacher or book supply me. As we say, in one ear, out the other!

This was a very informative story. The history and culture of the Manchus and Central Asian people is actually not widely known throughout the U.S. However it was almost to much information. The narrative felt like an encyclopedia article in some places and a zombie survival story in others. This left the plot development very uneven and choppy in places. Still, I'm more informed than I was and for that I thank you!
