This is just so unique, so in character, so moving,and just so brilliant. Your original characters are interesting and engaging as is your Nappa (and I mean YOUR Nappa. You've created a masterpiece around Toriyama's stick figure). I'm so glad I read this.

It looks like it's been a while since you've finished this (over 10 years!), but I wanted to leave a review anyway.

Man, this fic was amazing! You've shown a side of Nappa that we don't really get to see in the series, and I'm definitely viewing the character differently now because you've done it so convincingly! You've written something refreshing and original about a character that's generally overlooked and/or portrayed really flatly, so I'm truly impressed with what you've done with this. I also complement your use of original background characters, which was imaginative. Furthermore, you did not only give more insight to Nappa's character, you also provided a detailed account on how life under Frieza could have been. All in all, this is truly one of the most insightful and original fanfics I have read to this date. Very detailed, very well thought out, well-written, and just...amazing.

Finally, I'm glad you've left the implication that Nappa will be able to see that Vegeta will turn better eventually, that he won't be just another Frieza.

Anyway, an amazing job well done! Thank you for writing this.

Wow. Just...WOW! What an amazing read!

I feel that hit the nail straight on the head for Nappa's character. A fantastic job, and truly believable. I HATED that he was made out to be nothing more than a moronic brute in the anime (whether this was limited to the subbed version - I don't know), so to finally read a damn good story where his personality truly seemed IN character is like a breathe of fresh air.

I mean...he WAS the General of the Saiyan Army, so he MUST have had a decent level of intelligence, so it makes more sense that he would dumb himself down a little rather than draw Frieza'a attention. I also like how you featured the relationship between both Nappa and Raditz and Nappa and Vegeta. Given that Nappa was considerable older than the other two, it makes sense that he would look after them like family, and care for them.

I never viewed Nappa and having a wife and child though, so this was a good touch and I really quite liked it! I especially loved the reunion in the Other World. It was warm and made me smile.

I don't think I'll ever be able to watch Nappa again without imagining him the way he is portrayed in this story. Not THAT'S a good job. I can't wait to read more of you work! _

PS. Nappa was right, the uniforms WERE awful...but I supposed there were worse things going on.

Haha, this was great! And you know, reading this last chapter, all I could think of was the snarky little saying: "Heaven doesn't want me and Hell's afraid I'll take over."

You know what I'm wondering now? If the Saiyans have taken over a part of HFIL, what happened to Vegeta when he got there (after being killed by Frieza)?
