That ending is not uplifting.
This chapter was very emotionally confusing. First it's depressing, then it's hopeful, then cute, and finally downright disconcerting. I wish Arthur would just put his foot down, Alfred really does need some predestination help, not only for the drug thing but the occasionally appearing eating disorder and the childhood trauma that he's dealing with somewhere in deep in his head. Not that you don't already know that. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

I don't know if its good idea to say this but I'm going to say it anyway: I was about to leave you a message asking you for an update soon or something, but I didn't want to sound desesperate, so I didn't, and your chapters are long (and I think that is really good) so I decided not push.
As I say before, I really like this story it's good, and I feel like this chapter is like a preparation of something big, because things are good for the characters but not good enough and not bad yet (even for Antonio). I don't know what else to say, but as I have been saying, this story needs more reviews so here is mine. Cheers!

Anyway, this chapter was just intense all around, and things certainly seem to be getting worse before they get better- and I'm sure a few things won't get better at all- but I'm looking forward to it anyway. I do wonder what's up with Natalia, and I have a feeling that this isn't the last Alfred's going to be hearing on that front. As for Lovi and that whole situation... I can only hope.

Wow, what a turn of events. While I completely agree it wasn't Matthews place to tell Al's secrets to others, his reaction really breaks my heart. I had a feeling something like this was coming, but it still hits hard when such a beautifully written story throws a wrench into the character's happiness. This story really is incredible, giving the reader a glimpse into life from two completely different sides, despite a similar origin. God I hope things work out for Arthur and Francis, but especially Mattie and Al. Thanks for writing this, I will be eagerly awaiting the next update!
