This was perfect. Absolutely perfect. The way the story with Scott unravelled and all pieced together so well, and I love how you chopped it up with bits between her and Jon. Seriously perfect chapter :)

That tension is completely gone from her now. She can finally start anew, fresh clean slate and move on with Jon.

I honestly expected Lana and Scott's break up to be more dramatic, I respect you for not going down the obvious route. It would be much easier to say 'I discovered Scott cheating on me, so I kicked him out'. I think a lot of people will read this and immediately say Scott is a total douche and that his exit was cowardly, but he's just human. He probably thought sending a letter to justify his actions was the 'right' thing to do and I do genuinely believe he wanted to avoid causing her pain. It reminds me of a saying though, 'there's no such thing as closure, there's only opensure'. I think going stone cold sober on a person, seemingly without showing any signs of a change of heart, is a lot harder to deal with than being obviously, morally wronged. I can understand why Lana has found it hard to open herself to love again. I found this chapter very sad and it brought back a lot of memories for me, not just about my own relationships and friendships that have broken down, but other people's too. I think this might be my favourite chapter in this story. I was actually trying to describe this story to my partner, without telling him it was a fanfic, and told him it was kind of like a dramatic romcom. That's what impresses me most about your writing, it doesn't have to be Dean Ambrose or wrestling centric. It wouldn't feel out of place as an E-book in the drama/romance/comedy section. Anyway, I'll stop sucking up, obviously you can tell I'm impressed and it makes me feel slightly embarrassed about my current, shallow offerings in the world of fanfiction! Seriously, I can't stop thinking about Scott stripping his and Lana's apartment of things he sees as his right to take, then Lana walking into that almost bare apartment. The scene is so vivid and awful! Arghhh damn you, I need to sleep! Seriously, well done you, high five for damn good writing!

Damn. That was painful to read through. I'm sorry for what your friends went through. It was painful on both ends. Relationships are difficult but with honesty and conversation everything could be solved. I appreciate Dean's honesty and how he approached his life. Every day won't be perfect and understanding that simplifies and facilitates life. Can't wait to read the next chapter.

As you know I was gonna wait to read this, but I was too excited and I'm the worst at waiting for anything ;)

It still impresses me how genuine you make Lana and Jon's affection for each other sound. I've said similar before, but writing love in a mature and non-soppy way is really hard to master. I feel like their relationship has progressed naturally, it doesn't feel rushed and unrealistic.

As I'm sure everyone else is, I am dying to read about Scott. I think he's the ex hubby? I can't remember if you named him before, I'm half tempted to go back through all the previous chapters to find the name! Lana really does play her cards close to her chest, doesn't she? It's easy to forget that she's got just as much baggage as Dean and to blame him for being the one that holds back, but it's a two way street.

Anyway, I shall shut up now. I'm happy that you updated this and that you've got back into the swing of writing again. Thank you for continuing to share, I think it's the best free writing on this site, by far.
