I feel like the alliance is giving they way too much ground this early into negotiations.

pertty good story, chapter 11 and 12 were a bit out of place imo but other then that i liked it

what reason could the confederate have to intervene now, its not like doomsday is around the corner. it just makes no sence, if they want to continue they would wait until the reapers are gone and then make a grap for power while the galaxy just went through a war

how is handing over hyperdrive and any asociated tech helping them build ships for a council seat in any way a good deal? seems like a rip off to me

When the human ambassador meets the citadel councilors she doesnt negotiate, she literally capitulates by giving away military secrets, critical information and potential major technological weaknesses... without any concession from the citadel.

Then the citadel councilors proposes to include the alliance into citadel space in exchange of human hyperdrive, the amazing privilege to defend the mighty Citadel and a reduction of their strength in accordance to the Farixen treaty.
And the human ambassador says: "it a very generous offer"!

I'm sorry, but I have to stop reading this story here. I understand you need to "balance" your story, but certainly not at the cost of the most elementary logic.

I really hope the Reapers end up stumbling across Confederate worlds accidentally and then absolutely ravage their RED COMMUNIST filth before actually attacking the Alliance.

Or at least an omake where the Reapers are shouting Liberty Prime lines on Confederate worlds.

This story is... wow, really interesting, really well done, great mix of AU and canon. Seriously, I'd pay to see more of this.
