| librarianmum chapter 1 . 11/3/2013 This is an extraordinary piece of writing. The description of John giving himself to Sherlock and the taste of willingly offered blood is so rich. And I didn't know how it would end - I feared that Sherlock would just carry on waiting and waiting and John would never come - so it was bittersweet when he did. The thought of Sherlock being alone for so long was sad. It kind of reminded me of Interview With The Vampire - the melancholy of outliving everyone. I could entirely understand why John took that risk. Beautiful story. |

Of course... singing blood does imply a bruit which then gets one wondering about a loose plaque in the carotid bifurcation... etc, etc :-) "eldritch radiance" - Nice description! "wept tears of John's blood" - indeed :) Well, 'the life is in the blood'... definitely a deep bonding there. Enjoyable read. Not completely horror-riddled but certainly could be quite dark if one imagines the beautiful imagery you evoke. |
