I just sat and read this entire story today. It was really well detailed and very well done. The plot was heartbreakingly good. Thank you for writing this, it was a very good read. :)

Well, I read this story from first to last chapter in one day - and what a day! I've cried a bucket of tears, have come as close as I have ever to hating Splinter, have shivered and cringed and raged from chapter to chapter as Mikey suffered horrors that are hard to even read about, much less image anyone experiencing. Loved how Mikey was still Mikey at the end of all things - scarred, but healing, and that inner glow remained untouched despite the evil wrought upon him. Ever the child of sunlight and love... Even the darkest part of him could not take the life of another, no matter how deserving.

The love triangle (Leo/Karai/Raph) was so PAINFUL for all involved. Even Shredder's final moments with his daughter's body brought an ache to my heart. But nothing compared to Karai's death in Leo's arms. To finally have all he ever wanted only to lose it in that same moment... His agony was crushing to me. I must have cried for ten full minutes over that scene, blubbering like a child lost in the dark.

Then there was Donnie and his own heartbreak... Thank goodness that he and April have at least come back within the circle of each other's arms, but what a price they have both paid for the love they share. So many moments of closure for your characters, and on so many different levels.

Raph is my favorite turtle, and to see him so unmade by his kid brother's rape and torture. Well, I'm glad to know he's tough enough to be tender, and how tender he was! My gosh, you made him breathe! Loved how he was always Mikey's favorite brother, something I've suspected was always the case over the years and through the many incarnations the Turtles have gone through.

Your story left me shaken with emotion, wrung out like a rag, and exhausted at the end of every chapter, wondering how I could prop myself up for the next one. That I managed to read the entire story in one day is almost a miracle.

Bottom line: This has been an experience I will long remember and a story that will be reread again and again just to make sure I have mined all the treasure from it. You are a very gifted writer, and I, like others, hope that if you ever publish a book of your own, we can all get our hands on it. It would be something priceless, I know.

i just wanted to leave a note, because earlier today i was listening to breezeblocks and remembered this story. it was one of the most intense psychological horrors I've read, and had a big influence on me in the fanfiction community and also inspired some of the parts of fixing donnie. thank you for this

Loved this story, love your writing, have had a look at ur other stories and I wish I could read more of your work, but alas, I'm a Mikey fan and only read about him, so I wish you had more glorious hurt Mikey fics.

I think this is the first time ever I purely enjoy the pain of a character (that being Malcom). Also the "relationship" between Leo/Karai/Raph is very promising.

I've spent the day binge reading this. I love it. You write these characters so well and your words hurt in all the right ways. I doubt you still read these, but I really like what you write. You should write a book. Tell me and its already bought.

This was great, good job on this. I love the way you write; you're very accurate and consistent. When Mal first started to think about cutting Mikey's tail I knew it wouldn't happen in one chapter but the suspense you added to it was amazing. I got so angry when I had to read from the other guy's points of views cause I just wanted them to hurry up and save Mikey. The touch of happiness for Donnie was nice as well. The strain you put on Raph and Leo made them feel real. Again, good job!
