Wow, what a story. I was confused, at first, because it seemed as if you had jumped back in time somehow after the first chapter. I still don't know what the first chapter is about, or how it relates to the rest of the story, but I'm glad I kept reading.

The back story is fabulous. I really enjoyed reading the angst and despair that you very clearly described. I can't wait to see what happens next.
