Reviews for Incalculability
velvetsins chapter 2 . 3/23/2018
Wow
I think I’m gonna start every review with a resounding WOW.

What I find the most captivating about this fic is the fact that you can mingle the description about characters and their feelings and thoughts and etc with very few words, something I find incredible and cannot do myself.

It’s straight to the point, very objective indeed and no less beautifully written.

Loki, as always, is so very IC and so is Thor and Jane.

Loved the ending and how you showed Loki mischievousness in this. This is definitely my fav part of this chapterLoki wants to laugh. Mischief and misery? The former is both latter's archenemy and its perfect counterbalance. There cannot be one without the other. Thor, it seems, has not learnt this precious lesson”

Loving this fic very much. Sorry if my reviews are short and somewhat lacking, I’m just so tired and sleepy right now (although I can’t sleep just yet), I promise I’ll do better nextJust dropping a review now cause if I read everything without reviewing I’m sure my lazy ass won’t let me do it later.

See you

Wow
That word alone could pretty much sum up my review.
This chapter is just wow.

Not only the plot sounds promising, as the characters are IC (you nailed Loki. Definitely. And he is not an easy character to work with), as you have the perfect writing style. To me at least.

Loved how you give the insights inside the characters’ minds. I absolutely looooove it. It’s what make us understand the characters and love the story. You see, when we watch a move we can see the actors and etc, when we read... well, if the author don’t give us descriptions... and sometimes dialogue is not enough. And here I find both the dialogue and the description more than enough. Completely in love with your writing style!

I enjoyed this chapter very much and loved every word of it. Mainly the madness we see in Loki.

Let’s read the next one ;)

Nice story
Hekka chapter 13 . 9/3/2015
It's funny to listen to the Warriors Three talk about the unreliability of Loki, when they should be charged with the same crime.
Warriors Three and Sif violated the will of two kings (proving that they are true - blindly and reckless - not to Asgard, and not even to their king Odin, but to the one who considers appropriate to start a war due some insult)... And make effective attempted palace coup (with the help of Heimdall - who claims his loyalty to Allfather - but still committed treason by allowing hotheaded Thor go in the forbidden realm) and all this on the basis of Sif's conviction in her own rightness, Hogun's support and no real facts on their hands...
Hekka chapter 11 . 9/3/2015
Jane's conclusions surprisingly naive. To be so sure that someone has changed (it does not matter which way), it is necessary to know this someone. Skin-deep acquaintance in total per week, does not allow this knowledge(especially given the attendant circumstances surrounding). On the other hand she is an astrophysicist, not a psychologist.
Hekka chapter 10 . 9/3/2015
Well, considering that Loki's "ambition" was the simple desire to be recognized as equal to his brother in his father's and Thor's own eyes, I do not see how it is a good analogy.
Although many of those who should know Loki better than saw and see in him only what they want to see.
Hekka chapter 9 . 9/3/2015
I do not see how it was Loki who depended on anyone. He was bounded, yes, but he did very well on his own. Even though the accompanying weight...
Hekka chapter 6 . 9/2/2015
Do not get me wrong, I do love the Thor-Loki bromance, oh, how I love it! But I just do not agree with the prevailing opinion that Thor this perfect older brother. If it so, the first movie just not happen! Maybe once upon a time he was close to the mark, but those days are gone for sure, once he made new friends. Which big brother sincerely believes that his younger incapable of sincerity and sees no problem with it (ie, it took the view strangers, people who do not know his brother so well how he should, for an indisputable fact. Believe in what on the surface, not trying to look deeper. Because it satisfied him). Isn't he such a nice brother? Loki so far from ideal, and always up to no good - of course only because it's in his nature. Because what could be another reason, when one is the son of glorious Odin and brother of valiant Thor? But even so Thor loves his little brother and allows him his imperfection (not everyone can be like him after all)... That's how Thor's brotherhood looks to me. In the movie The Warriors Three and Sif accused Loki of usurping the throne. And Thor believed them with no doubt. He had not even tried to find out the possible reasons for this sudden change in Loki for no more than a few days. And his apology from earlier... I also bring this kind of apology. When I going to insult, humiliate and provoke another person (we are all humans and not without sin).
For what reason I wrote all this? Just because, yeah, there so much more to this sad tale, than Thor's and his cohort view.
Hekka chapter 2 . 9/2/2015
As if the three days of exile can turn one in completely another person! Personally I think that no matter that others, and even Loki himself, want to belive in, it's not Jane who affected on Thor so much. Three-day exile without some real learning time hardly able to change Thor's character so drastically: he was too busy by indignant at first, and later by dreaming of returning to home - even when he realized what he will have to stay for an indefinite period. And Jane was too affected by him (or new perspectives that opened for her if his words are true. She was too absorbed into all the new opportunities for the development of her theories). To me it not looks like she see Thor as a person but as a "universal key to all doors," and he see her only as a stable anchor in a strange and alien world where he was stuck on a very unfavorable conditions (she was the one person who wants to believe him when others thought he was crazy).
What really influenced Thor it's Loki's lie (which brought a new perspective on the situation). Thor finally thought about the consequences of his actions (although I do not think that Loki had planned that. Rather, he just wanted to distract Thor from the task of return home so as to have a chance to correct his own miscalculations and prove himself as worthy son to their father) Well and actions Warriors Three, Sif and Heimdall against the direct orders of not one but two kings (given their desire to bring Thor back when he was exiled and replaced them legitimate regent, I would say that they tried to stage a coup) that provoked Loki's response. Which in turn led to a situation where Thor (who grew up with the idea Asgardinas as defenders of other realms, and so on and so forth that certainly instilled certain concepts and standards that one need to comply simply because it is as it should be. And Thor always craved heroic glory to match his father. And who has heard his friends' version of events) did only what he would do anyway. The only thing that he has learned that he is not perfect. But Thor is still for looong way to find out what exactly his imperfections is. Not to mention the ways to remedy them.

Very nice...I rather liked the ending.
Guest chapter 14 . 6/19/2014
I would have liked this story better if actually Jane wasn't the one running after Loki. If she wasn't just so forgiving and loving to him.
