Idk how valuable this review will be given its been over 4 years since the last update but I'll give you my thoughts. Here you've created an entire story for the sole purpose of bringing Edward Elric into the world of Avatar all for him to do nothing within it. All we ever see Ed do is fumble around, lose fights and get captured. That's fine and all but we're 8 chapters in and still the last 2 chapters have basically been Ed wallowing in a cage. Eventually Ed needs to accomplish SOMETHING right? It gets boring otherwise.

This is a problem in too many of these kinds of stories. You've done little more than just copy and paste scenes and dialogue from Avatar with a few quips from Ed every now and then. If I want to just follow Avatar's story again, I'll just watch Avatar...

Oh, and update sooner, if you don't mind too much... I realize it's fruterating to make a story well written, but it is as equally frusterating when you are declined to READ that well written story.

Whooooah, this is so awesome! :D I haven't realized how much Ed and Zuko have in common until this point.
They're almost the same age, share similar dark past, they grew up around military men, both are skilled fighters and short-tempered teenagers.
It's only natural for them to become friends. And it feels so great when they apologize to each other (which, by the way, totally fits Ed character, despite his commonly over-emphasized stubbornness).
This is a perfect setup to have Ed become friends with both Zuko and Team Avatar ;)
