I get that you want to interact with your readers, but the opening author’s note is far too long. I'm sticking with the story because I’m a stubborn prick, but that'll turn most readers off before they've even gotten a chance to get to the story.

Ok, enough about your absurdly long AN, on to my review.

Not the greatest job with the opening. It's so abrupt and sudden, with a summarizing feel that didn't do anything to build your setting or atmosphere.

Who was running Aurora while Rukar was away? Did he leave Eva in charge? A trusted regent? These things are questions that I’m left with that would add depth to the world your story is set in.

It's odd that Evia is familiarizing herself with the castle. Did she not grow up here? If ”Rukar” was a foreigner, perhaps that would make sense, but if she's been living in Aurora as part of the nobility it's strange that she doesn't know her way around.

I'll be frank, the battle scene feels literally ripped from the game. The fight between Evia and the Ignis warlord didn't do much to thrill me either. I'm a little disappointed that it was just a fistfight, cuz your AN inspired thoughts of duels featuring both man and ’mon. Maybe it's just this scene, but I'm not horribly impressed with the action yet.

All in all... The story isn't flawed in any major way. The writing is technically sound, and I didn't spot any glaring formatting/grammar errors.

It just felt empty to me. The world lacked depth, and the action itself didn't do much to draw me in.

I'm really sorry that this is so critical. I really expected myself to like this more, and it's possible that it's not representative of your writing now. I can continue reviewing this if you'd like, but I’d understand if you didn't want that.

holy cow i was like, "my character actually talked and this is pokemon for christ's sake" how often your character IN POKEMON could actually talk? aside from the talk you have with the copycat girl in soulsilver&heartgold. but that doesnt count because she copycat your character. yeah. this IS awesome! i really think the heroine and oichi is made for each other xD teehee. i ship them really hard. and nagamasa... hated him. ew. sorry to peeps that ship nagamasa with oichi. aaaanyway! you really describes the action - flawlessly. and the battlefield is described perfectly. evia is a lil bit hot n cold but oh well. she's badass. and yeah! i do agree with you xD there's no way they train - or worst - WENT TO THE PONIGIRI SHOP - IN ONE DAY - AND SLACK OFF. that's bull. i cant imagine oichi says shit. ooooh weelll. and... wait...if ranmaru is a freakin boy... how come in oichi's story, where you fight to determine who's the preetiest, RANMARU IS ONE OF THE WARLORD?! While this was the least fav of your stories for me, I liked how it took chances even as a novelisation. While it felt a bit short and at times predictable, it was still a fun ride IMO.

You know, this was the ending to Conquest that I really didn't know how to feel about.

Like, here Nobunaga is defying God for the best of us all. Arceus has been a known prick and all, so the fact that you were siding with God and not the one dethroning him kinda made me want to throw the battle away in the game itself.

That said, am I right in assuming that Evia's random hax powers were always coming from Arceus? Since she did use most of them in this chapter.

PS: The horns/crown. Arceus did it?

Because of you, Mr./Ms. Author, I didn't get any sleep last night. I usually read a little before bed to help me fall asleep, but your story was so damn entertaining that I just kept on reading. I hope you're proud of yourself.

Anyway, I'm afraid I can't offer much in the way of criticism at the moment, maybe when I've had some sleep, but I couldn't just read the entire thing in one go and not tell you how much I enjoyed it. So, yeah, I enjoyed it very much and I'm very much looking forward to reading more. :D
