This is an interesting concept and seems fairly canon, but you might not want to have the Doctor use that particular phrase. The Could-Have-Been King and his army of Meanwhiles and Never-Weres was described as one of the horrors of the Time War. Having him think of her in similar terms doesn't seem right.

Well, I absolutely loved it. No surprise there, right? ;) I thought this style of writing was perfect. It had really good flow and didn't go on for too long or too short. I loved how you made Oswin a bit different than Clara... how she knew him and yet, like River's done before to others, pretended like she didn't.

The Doctor's point of view toward the end in 'The Name Of The Doctor' was a perfect wrap-up to Clara and her echoes. It really does make you wonder how many times she saved him and he didn't know it... and we didn't know it. Excellent job! You're writing Clara's perspective pretty well now. ;) :) Keep writing amazing stuff and I'll keep reading. :D

This is brilliant! I still haven't fallen in love with Clara as a companion (I like her a lot, but I don't think she was developed enough throughout the series), but you fleshed her out in a wonderful way in merely 2000 words. And really, writing things in the wee hours of the morning is the most fun...you know it is D Thanks for writing this...I really enjoyed it!
