Awwww! Spock writing music about Jim is just so adorably cute. *melts* And I love the dialogue you used to explain it; this interchange is perfect:

And I agree about the whole "t'hy'la" thing. I've seen a lot of authors use it as if it's a magic word, and that drives me nuts. I refuse to use it in my own stories because it's just so astonishingly overused.
