oh come on! you gotta finish this story, don't leave us all hanging!

I sort of doubt you'll see this, 7 some years after you posted this, but I loved Legal Partners and desperately needed more of your Ace Attorney works. This is excellent, and its amazing! You're a fantastic writer!

I have a ton of regrets on this story not being finished, but I'm still delighted to have these eight chapters. Legal Partners has you cemented as one of my absolute favorite writers in this fandom, if not -the- claimant of the top spot, but as much as I adore domestic slow-burn Narumitsu and idiot lawyers who can't figure out that their irrepressible lifelong gay is mutual (and I adore that a lot, for the record), I've got a weak spot for whump, especially when other characters flock around the one that's being driven up a tree. And this fic does a fantastic job illustrating just how devastatingly much Maya and Edgeworth care for Phoenix, to the point where even Angel Starr is backing off to make way for them...

...but the thing I really can't get enough of, and truly regret not having more of, is the way that Maya and Edgeworth come together here. It's beyond them being investigative partners, which is already a total blast I never knew I wanted; it's the way they comfort and ground each other in this situation. It's all absolutely wonderful to read. On the surface, it might look like Edgeworth's doing more for her - I love that he invited Maya to stay with him once he realized she was frightened - but that really isn't the case. Even with Pess underfoot, who I'm also joyous to see, the description of his home laid into the sort of regal, unlived emptiness I'd expect of him. If he didn't have Maya there to bounce ideas and make grandiose declarations of justice, he'd be driving himself completely insane with self-flagellation.

So yeah - came for the kidnapping, stayed for the Maya-Miles friendship. Even if there's only a few chapters of it, I'm thrilled it's there for me to read.

Hey I dunno if you still use this account but the story isn’t dead, I can tell you that much. It’s the best ace attorney fanfic I have read in a while, but I just wanted to bring this to your attention. If you do decide to update it, try your best, please? I don’t care if it’s bad if you stopped writing. I just need to know the end, it’s like a cliff hanger. So yeah, this story exists
