As someone who has never seen the show, I didn't need to in order to appreciate this story. Yes, it was long...and I'm not exactly sure how it got that way...because none of it seemed superfluous, yet the story is so simple, so universal. Every detail added to the mood and I felt that Bob and Stanzi really belonged together...not at the beginning, but by the end, when you explained how they fell in love so quickly. I especially liked the scene where she stole him away for a while, and the artist drew them. Perfection!

As a fan of both the books and the TV show, I'm not really into any romance unless it is Harry and Murphy (in either of her incarnations), so I was skeptical when I started reading this. And while I can't say I loved they idea, it really was a lovely story. My thought as I read the last words was "awww."
