Reviews for Land Before Time Retold
Guest chapter 14 . 8/29
I am in tears right now great chapter
Guest chapter 1 . 8/7
Not only is Aylene a sister figure to Littlefoot, she is also a daughter figure to his mother, and Aylene also sees Littlefoot's mother as her mother figure and mentor
DrakoJ chapter 6 . 8/5
It's . . . really sad that Aylene was there to witness Littlefoot's mother slowly dying right in front of him. even more sadder was with Aylene feeling compassion and pity for her friend.
Artist1990 chapter 7 . 5/25
I read this story once and enjoyed it. When I read chapter 7, I try to imagine Sharptooth's voice in the nightmare sounding like the Cave of Wonders.
Guest chapter 1 . 5/20
I see this story has just been edited. Okay.
Dino nerd chapter 1 . 4/18
I just have to say I love this story it captures the heart of the original and yet adds new layer of dephe to it and I am a huge fan of the series been watching it sense I was 4 and thank you for this story.
LordDeath8 chapter 19 . 4/7
What’s interesting to note is that the T-Rex could actually swim very well, almost like a crocodile does
Anon chapter 1 . 3/27
Just so you know, your character Aylene has been stolen and placed into a story by an author who has no right to place your character in. It is the story "The human girl of Equestria" by the author "Y the monster master". They also stolen word-for-word from another author's story to make it seem like they wrote the story by themselves, but merely copied and pasted - changing the characters.

Be aware, and please pass on this message.

Wonderful climax. Though I would add a reaction from the dinosaurs to the fire and Aleyne hitting Sharptooth in his last good eye would be better as a bow probably won't penetrate deep enough to reach his heart unless it has a very large draw weight.
Mary Goldy chapter 1 . 1/17
When I read this fic I see myself on dream riding on Littlefot with song Torch The Scy from Brave

I russian, and I read it on Russian. But I don't guess this song! Because on Russian it looks without any rime, words very rude. When I read it on English, I guess this song. On Russian it's unposible! And not all fik translate yet : only 1 - 3 parts, 4 - 5 I wish will be soon.
thedaikaijumorph chapter 12 . 1/13
After coming back to re-read this (awesome and near-perfect) story, I noticed something that I didn’t remember before: during the brief scene with the Dimetrodon in the first movie, I always wondered what happened to it after it disappeared I got the distance.

Well, at the end of chapter 12, there’s that little segment which explains in ominous detail the gruesome fate of the poor synapsid.

Sharptooth killed it.

Like... ... ...DUDE. That’s DARK!

And I love it!

Makes this story feel all the more like a Don Bluth film!

Anyhow, keep being awesome, Elise! Your writing and imagination is inspirational to say the least! ;)

This is the land before time not humans before time. It's about dinosaurs with a story of wonder. If it's done with humans, what's the point/merit of remaking it? There's so many things you can do to bring new things and elements to make the best Dinosaur film ever since Spielberg made that film in 1993. As a guy who freakin loves Dinosaurs, adding humans in this kind of rebooted franchise will be a Colossal Fossil Mistake. Sometimes humans needs to step aside, and let nature (Dinosaurs in particular) tell their story for 2hrs. Even if it's an CG animated film that's more detailed realistic with the facial emotions, like Disney Dinosaur, but better.

Final Thoughts: As a fan of Dinosaurs, and the idea of remaking Land Before Time with new ideas of elements, sequences while still keeping the platform focus of what made the OGs a great dinosaur series with it's story and characters, I cannot stand behind the meaningless idea of humans in the films just to make it different when it's just the animals that tells their story from start to finish.
