This is your first story? Way to start off strong! Everybody is in character, and Jackie gets to show off her motherly skills, and thus far the concept has kept my attention! I shall read on.

Not lame at all, really sweet and such good characterisation. I'm far too old to identify with Rose but I can feel for Jackie (sadly I'm much older than her as well!) and you do a wonderful job of portraying her. Well, of portraying them all, actually. When the Doctor and Jackie were sitting together in the rain I had a very vivid picture of the two of them - great description of the Doctor's typical body language. Excellent dialogue, too. Highly enjoyable and very well written.

Doctor-Jackie interactions are always so much fun !
