Lovely. So very lovely

A little confusing in the beginning as to who exactly had wounded whom, how and where but a cute story none the less. :)

Very nicely done.

First off, kudos of having Henry play a big part here. I know one of my requirements for being happy with whoever the writers pair Emma with is that he love Henry too.

"Hook had visited the Piccaninny on a few occasions, mostly for trade, but he had, once, been forced to call on the aid of their medicine woman after a run-in with the Lost Boys and the Lost Boys' poisoned weapons had left his first mate hemorrhaging black blood; no healer could match her skill, short of a mage (and even then, only perhaps)."-Oh wow, there's a story right there! I love that you included the Piccaninny tribe. I wonder if we'll see them on the show.

OMG Tamara SHOT Henry?

There is such a lovely tone to this story. You can feel the exhaustion and the constant fighting-off of panic and yet it's hopeful and still has such an air of mystery to it. It's really neat we don't know for sure if the medicine woman was a seer or not.

Love how Hook is straight with Henry. And I love how Henry is working on getting to know him, wanting to know who he REALLY is.

"Right," she replied, pulling Henry up to his feet, but he staggered and fell against her, so she picked him up instead, cradling him in her arms. "Let's go."-AW!

"I swear to god," she growled, "if you're about to suggest that I leave you here to bleed to death, I will punch you in the face."-So Emma! Even though this story is short, everyone's voice is unique from everyone else's.

"...I haven't grown on you, have I?" he asked cheekily, trying for a roguish smirk but accomplishing something only slightly better than a wince; she glared."-I read that Hook's flirtatious nature may actually be compulsive and that makes a lot of sense, that he'd be afraid that was all he'd have to offer anyone. It's great that you have a line that is not only in-character and funny, but is established as being his default response.

"Not that I'm complaining, but your son might not appreciate — " he started weakly, but trailed off at her death glare and sank into a sitting position against the wall of the cave next to Henry."-Hee hee.

"Emma had no response for that, and she refused to examine it in any depth because it made something inside of her keen and she couldn't tell why."-This was lovely.

I can FEEL her frustration and not being able to have magic come easy to her. That's so beautifully written and speaks volumes of Emma and her issues, how even with her son back and magic she still thinks she isn't good enough.

This was so beautiful. It really is a one-shot all about healing and this was just heartwarming to read. A real pleasure.

Oh this was fantastic. I love Emma/Hook and Hook!whump. A really original and brilliant piece involving Killian's tender side and interaction with Henry. I'm not a fan of harsh language (Emma's f-word), but overall I really enjoyed this one-shot! :D

Great fic. I love how you can make such a simple scene beyond meaningful. I dunno, it's just perfect.
