I have to say... I almost hate this Chizuru. She overreacts about every freaking thing, what's the matter with her? Most times she doesn't seem "strong" in character but simply smartass, borderline disrespectful. "I see your mothers never taught you how to do it" and things like that, that amount of rudeness is unnecessary and speaks not of maturity but of a sense of superiority instead. I've noticed this many times before this chapter but didn't want to say a word about it until now, for I can't stand the way she responds to Shinpachi when he suggested to give Saito his medicine more often. He's cleary not versed in medicine matters, so what? She didn't have to act as if he suggested her to poison Saito on purpose. If she's supposed to be so mature, why wasn't she capable of serenely explaining things to him? She's so full of arrogant remarks here and there, Shinpachi is not any kind of stupid (indeed, he's quite a smart man), he's perfectly capable of understanding many things if correctly explained to him.

As for the story, I generally like the plot, it's an interesting reading, I just don't like Chizuru acting this way, for she doesn't need to be rude to show strength of character.

It's always good to see Chizuru taking charge of a situation competently like this. The characterization of Sannan is great too! And finally... no, you can't have Saito. :)

This story is wonderful, and I really hope you find time to continue it. It has been a long time since you have updated, and that is very understandable, seeing as life happens sometimes. I love the way you convey Chizuru, who is very meek in the original story, almost annoyingly so. I love Saito's route, second only to Okita's. Your twist to the story is a very welcome thing in the small fanfiction area. I really hope you update again! Also, if you feel like your story's ideas aren't good, and writer's block is keeping you away, I would love to help out, writer to writer, ya' know?
