Wow- Beautiful!

Let me just say I'm sorry for your loss...I know you've probably heard this a thousand times and you are not the only one...I lost my grandfather to stage 4 cancer on October 2nd 2014, so it wasn't that long hard not to remember him when everything reminds me of him...mostly good memories though but that doesn't stop the tears from falling. I miss him everyday, but it gets a little easier everyday especially to know that I'm not alone in this...so thanks and I hope that if you need encouragement I can help you out...stay strong

I have to say, this one-shot moved me to tears. In the best way.
When I read things like this, especially after loosing family it makes me realise that nothing is permanent. And that you have to live in the moment.

This was a wonderful story, even if it was a tear-jerker. You have a great writing style, and I always enjoy your work. I was a bit surprised to see it was Marty who took Hetty's place (that seems a Callen thing), but it worked in this story for sure.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather's passing - I hope you and he had many years together, and that you didn't have the regrets at the end that Marty did.

There are a couple of small issues, though. First, you have some typos you might want to fix ("If you're reading this, I am death - you meant dead; more experience that all of them - than). They're small, but the devil is in the details.

Second, you should probably change the description to include tragedy instead of just drama. I think it was obvious from the description his was a death-fic, but for many people this might be a trigger story, and you should warn people that there is tragedy within.

Sarah, that was beautiful. Sad, of course, but so beautiful. I'm shedding tears at the thought of the older Deeks paying it forward to his young team. As I have been reading thru these stories from older to more recent I have seen both you and your writing mature. It's really been an honor to be part of that journey that probably no single one of your teachers has even been.

My great-grandmother went to be with Jesus two moths ago. Oddly enough I was closer to her then any of my other grandparents. And all of my grandparents have divorced and remarried so I've got quite a few. I was upset today because every year -without fail- my birthday card from her came today. No matter how far away we were (we moved a lot) she always arranged for it to be here today. Last year it was a handwritten one. I have them all. Anyway. I'm sorry for your grandfather. I'm pretty sure you wrote this a year or so ago but I'm just seeing it now. 'Seeing' being the operative word because I've been crying like a buffoon all day. Even more when I read your story.
