I loved this! Like you, I jumped on the Jake/Sherry bandwagon after playing their campaign in RE6. It had every trope and cheesy line of dialogue I could have asked for. Needless to say, I've been searching for quality fic with this pairing ever since.

I don't know if I just wasn't paying attention at the beginning, but I feel like your writing got stronger as the piece progressed. You had a great grasp on both characters (Jake in particular had some great inner dialogue that worked with his personality rather than emasculate him), and I really liked how you picked this simple concept of flowers and expanded to a point where there's some emotional resonance for the audience. It was nice, too, that you balanced out the fluff with there partnership fighting against the BOWs, J'avo, etc. It made it not so sickeningly sweet, and all the more delightful for someone who loves their ships with a little mutant critical beat downs.

Overall, nicely done!

Very nice ficlet! I really enjoyed the inner-workings of Jake's mind and his own private, third person commentary throughout. His battle with his feelings and eventual resignation were a lot of fun to read, especially since I find his character and interactions with Sherry so intriguing. (He's like a completely different person around her and you captured that wonderfully.)

Awwww this is beautiful! I loved this! Sweet, perfectly in character, and above all else - charming. Yes dear, your fic is charming.
