even though I don't like it, I do agree that this would have been a better ending. well done.

I will have to say that I enjoyed this piece. I liked all the emotion that you packed so tightly into this small conversation. I enjoyed the part when Allie tells him that Lon is the right choice because she fell in love with him after her heart was broken.

But for the record I still am, and forever will be team Noah.

It's always interesting to see what it was like if she didn't choose Noah. But this is a movie and a lot of people cheat. You could tell she was truly still in love with Noah and Lon was not her true love. It would've been cute if Noah said "if you're a bird, I'm a bird.." to her and she gave a sassy response. Great story though!

Very well written, while I enjoyed Aliie and Noah, I still was no convinced that a night with Noah changed her mind. It's a good thing you have here, but can you make another chapter.

I agree with you. I don't like the fact that Allie betraying her fiancee for the sake of her old love too!

I like this, actually. You know I haven't watched this, but I always hate that trope when I see it- it's unrealistic and just plain bad writing to pretend that a character can instantly get over their current committed relationship for an old, dead one. This is much more mature and emotionally complex.

Oh God, I've tried SO HARD to find a Lon x Allie fic but no luck. And now, suddenly, there is the absolutely beautiful one! I completely agree with you. I didn't support of her cheating and, in my opinion, her and Noah's relationship was too sexual and just a summer romance. They were kids at that time and I cannot call that 'true love', no matter what. I don't care how the movie ended, and how many people love Noah and Allie, it'll always be Lon and Allie for me :)

Wow, I LOVE this. I mean, I definitely prefer Allie and Noah together, but this is a very well written piece of writing and I definitely respect you, although I don't like the ending, the way the story is written is great. Keep writing! You're really talented.
