If Gohan killed Carbon they could use the dragon balls to wish him back and make his lifespan longer so he can survive more than a few days. That might be a dragon ball loophole.

Wow, what a way to come back right into the thick of things, I have confidence that our little blue friend will make it, though given none of this really prevents anything like the buu saga from occurring or any other calamities, should this turn out to be a somewhat longer piece. Our cast of characters are not out of the woods yet!

Good descriptions, good fidelity after having seen someone die and nearly having so myself I can say as much, hopefully you got some of the feeling from guesswork or testimonials or some such. This whole story has been surprisingly fast paced but never to the point where I felt you were skipping important details to accomplish that, my only real complaint might be that it would be nice to see what more of the rest of cast have been thinking about during the whole ordeal, but i can understand if you don't want to use a third person omniscient point of view and just let us see what gohan sees for the most part.

An intriguing idea. Brilliant in its execution. Amazing counter-points to the argument raised to letting it live. Your storytelling and narrative made me care for Carbon effortlessly and for that I applaud you. I look forward to the next update when it arrives.

I am literally exploding with joy.

I really like this idea of Gohan befriending a Cell Jr. and growing attached to him to the point that he doesn't want the Cell Jr. to die. I love the character development that went from Gohan wanting nothing more than to kill Carbon to him wanting Carbon to fight through and live through this illness. It would be a pretty sad ending if Carbon died in the end anyways, but it does make sense to end it like that. However, if Carbon does survive, this will definitely cause a big shift in the Dragon Ball Z story, one that I would like to see. Anyways, I hope to see more of this in the future, keep up the good work.
