This is a fairly sensitive treatment of Aethelstan, and of the importance of story telling. In fact, part of the reason why the Bible and other books like it (including the Kalevala and the other Nordic traditions) is that you can learn a lot about a people by the stories they tell.

I like your story because I feel that you have a good grasp of who Athelstan is and what his thoughts would be, which is especially impressive since we've only seen him in one episode.
