This is really adorable - and had me fooled utterly at the beginning! I was convinced it was little Harry at the Dursleys we were reading about, and then all of a sudden it became AU Harry with a little sister, and his parents still alive and well...so lovely. :)

Very clever! I was pretty sure it was a misdirection, but I couldn't work out how till I got to the end. Kudos.

cool. I could see this becoming a full story. I read 'a different Halloween' recently, and while that story drove me up the wall for a presently unknown reason, the concept I still find interesting. regardless, this was well written and entertained me for the minute it took to read. :)

I was so happy to see how this ended, since I was afraid you had been recently corrupted and were going to traumatize me. :o) It was a definite surprise, even though I figured you were misdirecting us somehow. Loved it!

I really enjoyed this little piece. Like another reviewer said, I knew I was being misdirected, but I wasn't sure how it was going to end up. At first, I was wondering if it wasn't Harry's son playing under the stairs.

It is fun to imagine how Harry's life would have been if there'd been no Voldemort. There is a lot of scope for imagination there.

A nice little fic, something different. Got a bit suspicious when the sleeping bag was mentioned instead of his cot mattress but still thought it was Dudley when the door was opened. Probably good that I didn't get more than a single sentence to think about why the person opening the door called him Harry instead of Potter or freak. There is the question of why his mum and dad would chuck broken toys under the stairs instead of shooting a reparo at them but that's not something you'd realize until after you'd finished so I don't think it affects the story any.
