I've always thought it would be an interesting twist for Tobey to be some sort of android/cyborg. This fic was even better. I loved the moment when it became clear that Tobey II… er, IV was speaking. I also loved that it was ambiguous whether the memory transfer or the robot's attempt to find the on/off switch that killed the original. Even though unplanned sequels are almost always terrible, I'll be wondering for a while how Tobey deals with his new body.
Too large a proportion of the stories in the WordGirl category are badfic. I'm glad that at least some members of the WordGirl fandom are capable of crafting well-written stories.
