Great!

Wow Michelle! This was absolutely beautiful! It made my heart swell up with so much emotion. I liked how this one shot took place after the "dead guy of the year" moment and now Emma was actually telling him that she doesn't want anything to happen to him and that she only came to help Rumple in order to protect Killian's life. Even if this isn't how this played out on the show, it makes so much sense. You basically wrote out all the words these two were thinking at the time but were too afraid to actually admit it, especially Emma. I also loved when he offered her his coat. I've always wanted to see Emma wearing his pirate coat. At least we got close enough with his short leather jacket during the post-date hallway scene. Wonderful job on this one! I thought it was so special.

A fair bit of pain could have been saved if things had gone this way. Actually, I've always wondered what would have happened if Colin hasn't broken his leg when he did. What would have gone on between him and Emma? I know this isn't meant to be an answer to that question, but I kinda feel like it is.

Anyway, I loved the way he started of thinking he had no idea why he did what he did, but very quickly seemed to realize that of course it was all for Emma and he couldn't deny her anything. I also loved how he reacted to seeing Emma cry-that's not "his" Emma. He likes how strong she is, he likes how she's faced so much pain and survived, just like him. That's why he's better for her than Neal.

This would have been sooooo much better than what we got. Nice!

I just loved this! It gave a lot of background and motivation for both Hook and Emma that we didn't necessarily get from the show in that part of Season 2. I loved the idea of her fulfilling her deal with Gold to keep him from killing Hook, and also the way this story made it seem so clear that neither Emma nor Killian can deny the other. "It just is", I think you wrote at one point; they can't fight the way they're drawn to each other, even if both of them normally would. I also liked how you had Killian think of how he'd tried to keep Milah safe. I've always assumed that was why he told Rumplestiltskin she was dead - hoping to protect her, but I had never seen it brought up in a story yet. I know this is an older post, but I hope you still get this review. You have done a wonderful job with this story, and I'm glad I found it to read. :)

This was fantastic! I wish the writers would give Killians story a slight turn like this. My fear is while they may...it won't be anytime in the near future. Siiiiigh. So sad...because I could totally see something like this fitting into OUAT quite nicely.
