what a fantastic chapter! the emotion was so strong, but not over done. I really felt for poor Clint's pain in this.

I had to go back and re-read chapter 1 again - the awkward approaches were fantastic. I can just see the team lingering and waiting for the shoe to drop, as it were.

I wonder what they said to Fury when they discovered Phil... Fun times on the carrier, I can imagine!

Phil's thoughts are (rightly) primarily of the coffee shop and the details and drudgery of his job, along with moments where he's still trying to figure out who he is. And yet the story is still interesting and intriguing. That's no small feat!

I loved the way each of the Avengers slowly integrated themselves into the coffee shop clientele. I notice Clint was last - I'm guessing the others told him last, or they were hoping to jar some memories loose in Phil's mind before telling Clint. I'm also guessing his grief is the "illness" he's been recovering from.

Muscle memory does indeed last and I can easily see Phil being able to subdue the robber while simultaneously not knowing how he knows how to do it.

I'm really looking forward to more chapters!

This is entirely too beautiful and it captures their relationship in a devastatingly divulging way. You lay bare their emotions perfectly and if I may say so, I think this is the only way I could have seen an amnesia story in the Avengers working out exactly the way I would enjoy it. You have succeeded in capturing a loyal reader's attention and I look forward to reading more of your work. Keep it up! :-)

Thinking back, Phil could isolate this as the point when the whole situation took a nosedive straight down the rabbit hole.
