A good and interesting story.

I can't tell if John's "I don't blame me, either" was supposed to be funny, but I laughed. Like "whatchu talkin bout cortana."
Oh, but this was a beautiful piece. So well written. I loved the description of how their relationship used to be, how John used to be. "And then there was Reach." The imagery, the pace, the mood...all around just really, really well done.

Absolutely lovely. All I can say, really.
