I love the idea, but maybe you could try to make the chapter a bit longer. I'm not saying you should dump useless words on it but try to round it out a little. Does that make sense? I don't know, make the writing more c

It's a neat premise but the chapters are way too short. Try to put some more detail into the environment and into the character's emotions and thoughts. It's good that Kat was distrusting about the idea but she is also a woman with an extraordinarily weak memory. Perhaps she could allow herself to get her hopes up and try more investigating when she calms down. Also, are you trying to imply that Christian is not her brother after all with chapter 2? If so, then that information came out way too soon. But either way, good luck!
