We need Arthur to come back he say “You rely on magic too much, Merlin. Hey I’m back from the dead what did I miss.”

OMG, I've had this story on my favorites list for quite a while now. I remember when I first read it, I absolutely loved it. I seen it had been updated a little while back, but I was waiting to see if it was going to be completed. I have just set and reread this in one marathon setting. I can't stop reading it when I start. I know how it is when it comes to finishing a FIC Sometimes I have Merlin FIC that I started myself. A few years ago that I fully intend at some point, getting back to actually have handwritten notes and more. I just haven't added to the digital file because you know how it is with real-life :-) but I actually truly enjoy the story and I cannot wait to see what happens next. Surely at some point Arthur will be saved. I'm assuming and I'm assuming that all the assholes and Camelot will get their just desserts. Please I was sort of sad that Guinevere killed that one guy was her sword before Arthur would get a chance to give him what for personally. I'm hoping that when Arthur gets reunited with his body. He will at least be able to retain some of his memories as a crow or Raven or whatever he was? So he doesn't forget his secret views on how the people of his court actually treat his Queen, and Merlin but that's up to you. I guess LOL I just really hope that you post another chapter of this FIC because I absolutely love this. Thank you

Oh, wow, this is so amazing. I love so many things in each and every chapter. The way these friends love and support each other, the dragon resting place, Merlin's trial, and that he finds strength in Arthur's words to him...your imagery and word choice are just beautiful. I can't wait for more.

Your storytelling is so masterful! I loved the last chapter with Aithusa...the insight into her feelings...the way she communicated with Merlin, and the dragon tears!

Arthur/raven's POV was great, and Leon is amazing...I got all terry when he offered Merlin his sword.

The plot of this story is fantastic, but what I really love is the way there is also so much insight to the characters' feelings, relationships, etc. It is all very rich...no wonder I find this story unforgetable.

This chapter is so beautiful. Gwen's reactions are so perfect. And, I have to say, this explanation of why Merlin didn't call the dragon is so much better than in the show...where it did not make sense at all.

I completely agree with you about Gwen's reaction, though it is a bit shocking at first. Also, I think Merlin's feelings are really realistic! What a joy this is to read again, working up to reading the update.

Wow. I am speechless! What a brilliant chapter. So much to comment on I really am stumped.
First though, welcome back. I really wanted to reread the whole story but fear spending the time should you decide to "disappear" again.
So as a compromise I revisited the last couple of chapters.
Now I remember why I loved this story originally.
Brilliant.
I was blown away by the visions Merlin suffered. Well done with the future sight of himself walking the road. Very well done. Loved the two versions of Kilgharrahs death too.
On top of all this, I have not even touched on the journey to the Lake.
A mighty chapter that is for sure.
As for Merlin passing the test, I am speechless (again). Finally it looks like the destiny he was promised may come to pass. Finally!
Love the story. Love, love, love the story.

Just checking in to see if you had updated. I bet a lot of us wouldn't complain if you posted the 9000 words you mentioned at the end of chapter 15! This is a special story.

Thank you for this wonderful two-thirds of a story. Even though it is not finished, the touching scenes of each of the characters coming to terms with Arthur's loss and Merlin's revelation (particularly Merlin and Gwen together) helped me get closure from the way the show ended. So I am grateful for that. Very well-written and true to the characters. And then, when hope of Arthur's return resurfaced, I stayed up nearly all night reading all the way to the final chapter, enjoying every step of the way but also eager to get to Merlin and Arthur's reunion! I now see that the story was never completed. While I know it's unlikely that you will come back and finish it at this point, I would love to see your take on that reunion. On Merlin and Arthur saying all the things they should've said long before. On the beginning of Camelot's true golden age of magic and open friendship. You're a gifted writer and I know you could pull that conclusion off beautifully.
