But one can well imagine some of the main points of what happened to her. (and one suspects that Snape has dealt with students with what is now called Exotic Childhoods more often than other members of the staff save Poppy, due to his ability to believe certain kinds of stories).

I can see Peter saying 'good God, not *that*'-he is rather short sighted and possibly not acquainted with how some sort of purebloods entertain themselves. And Sirius would rise up out of his grave to protect a Marauder cub in that kind of situation.

What were James and Lily thinking when they named their daughter "Chrysanthemum"? And, will she be home-educated or be sent to another school?

This was another creepy one. I do wonder what kind of child might be produced from Voldemort raping a female Potter and if son or daughter Riddle\Potter could overcome father.

Love your writing, you explain everything perfectly and the use of language is very interesting. It's great how you use other characters like Andromeda and Ted too, I'd love to see where this AU is heading to!

Hmmm...how awful! But I can see it. Rape is all about power. I do thank you for not going into details. You're quite good at getting us horrified without needing to put in the gore, as other would.

Not sure about the dementors on Privet Drive. I quite agree that the canon-dementors of bk5 were inspired by Lucius tho' I'm not sure he needed to bribe Umbridge. I think he was convincing enough that she thought it her idea all along. And that it was for the good of the Ministry and especially for Fudge.

However, I think the idea behind it all was to relieve Harry of that blasted-brother wand that was surely the only reason Voldy hadn't trounced the brat in the graveyard. Your story seems to drop the entire 'brother-wand' scenario, so I'm not sure the dementors would have been sent to Privet Drive after Chrissy. But Sirius' appearance there might could have brought them on.
