Ah yes, Thorin's relationship with his nephews. I feel you have addressed it very well. Reminds me a little bit of how Snape, or even Dumbledore, is portrayed toward Potter in a lot of fics. Oh, it's hard. But good job. :)

I really feared for Kili's and Fili's lives! But well, they survived, and the last scene with Thorin was just so cute! I liked Bilbo's role in your story too.

I discovered your little gem here a while ago. It's always a great read and makes me feel all mushy inside. I love this softer side of Thorin.

Hu, seems strange to have the story told from Bilbo's PoV, but then to have him completely desapear at the end.

I really liked this! With pov's for Bilbo, Fili, Kili and then finally Thorin. I liked how Bilbo brought leveity back to the company with the tale of his relatives the Sackville-Baggins. I absolutely love Fili and Killi's relationship, not only because their brothers. Finally I loved that Thorin does love and care for his nephews, even if he doesn't always show it. There are people who don't like or don't know how to show emotion. Thorin is like that, but he does show his familial love when it matters most.
