stupid people start a story and never finish it

OH thank god for Lilys good hearing! And what the hell Dumbles is trying to kill them! I could imagine that! James and Lily really have a hard night! But thank god they escaped, my heart was beating wildly while reading! It was really quite dramatic!

If you want Dumbledore to kill James and Lily, I'd suggest doing it in a way that doesn't have a school of witnesses seeing them alive and healthy first. Similarly, instead of Dumbledore mumbling out loud about killing them, which is highly suspect since he isn't that stupid, maybe something else? Like Dumbledore offering the tea and James seeing something put into it and using a stinging hex on Harry to make him cry for the distraction or something.

Your premise isn't bad, though I have no idea where you're heading with this. Just the execution is a little weak.
