I personally know the people who took her in." Triton: "You're SURE of this?" Me: "POSITIVE. " (And if I tell him Ariel has a major crush on the guy who found her, I'll be toast. Soggy toast. Salt-watery soggy toast.)

(If I were there) Me: "So, Prince Eric, I see you've found yourself a friend." Eric: "Yeah, I literally found her out here. I'd ask her where she's from, but she can't talk." Me: "Let me try." (To Ariel) "So, how exactly did a nice kid like you end up like this? Uh huh. Uh huh." (To Eric) "She says it's a long story as to where she came from, oh, and that she thinks you're nice." Eric: "You can UNDERSTAND her?!" Me: "Yep. Don't ask."

I guess shipwrecked is the closest.

Prince Eric, how did you and Ariel get so wet? Eric: "Our boat capsized and we fell in the lagoon." And just look at the mess you're in. Youd better go dry off before Grimsby sees. And Ariel? Did you know you have a piece of duckweed in your hair?

I don't know about you, Carlotta, but I don't think I like this Vanessa. She yelled at me on the beach earlier. Carlotta: "For what, Dearie?" Untangling a bird from some rope. I didn't listen to her. There's no way I'd leave an animal in danger or pain.

If anyone should go out and find Ariel, it should be Carlotta. Ariel needs someone who's been rejected by a boy before. No offense, Carlotta.
