Great storyline and characterization. There are just a few little grammar nitpicks. "He had had to do it" is correct; there shouldn't be a comma between the two hads. Also, you keep using "a myriad of." While this is technically also correct, you'll encounter a lot of people will insist that only the adjective version (as in "myriad ways" instead of "a myriad of ways") is correct.

That was really, really good and it had such a happy ending! Goodness, this was a good story. I felt the emotions when Rose died and when she came back..then this last chapter, the happiness and joy. As the good old Tenth Doctor would say, Brilliant!
