Sirius is a jerk but I like how Peter doesn’t care what he saids. Words don’t hurt as much as the cruciatus Voldy would throw at him.

Quiet, low key, anonymous genius. Peter caught on that the Order and Ministry didn't need another hero in the streets. They needed knowledge so they could successfully deal with Voldemort the first time around. Maybe he'll never be acknowledged for his effort, but he'll get the peaceful life he always craved and have his friends alive.

He may be a coward and a betrayer, but Peter is no monster here. His thinking even makes perfect sense to me. A lot of people would rather leave a warzone than fight, so why shouldn't he? His advice to James and Lily is born of caring as well. He doesn't want to fight for either side but he doesn't, and probably never did, wish them harm.

It was nice to see Peter get his chance at redemption. This was a nice story. Thank you.

I came back to read this a second time because it’s so good. I love the banter and Peter’s sneakiness.

I like it. Peter gets a second chance and doesn't have to rush into danger to do the right thing.

Now if only Peter Pettigrew could redo the Animagus ritual so that his new form could be a lion instead, if only for the sheer irony and/or juxtaposition of a Gryffindor 'rat'/traitor becoming a 'Cowardly Lion' instead...
