I feel very contrite for not having reviewed either of your stories, despite have read most of both of them. *sigh*

Okay. This will be long, because I think you seem a cool person and I like the premise for this and I'm going to be brutally honest. That isn't a _bad_ thing. It means I want you to take time to revise your stuff. Pretty, pretty pleeaase?

Good.

First off, I endlessly enjoy AU stories and this is a definitely new setting. I like it. So far my favorite bit would be the image I get of Ryo being chased around by crazy old biddies with single daughters.

And I think your characters are good with the possible exception of Mia. (Maybe not what you wanted to hear). I don't quite grasp her character. To some extent, I think she's a little too "I am impossibly strong and beautiful" to be believe. Let's see some quirky flaws! Some humanity! Let's see more of the Mia from the show who _wasn't_ the hero (she is a very qualified and intelligent woman, however), and less of the abrasively "I am woman, hear me roar!" Mia.

Not of course, that I didn't cheer when she showed up that nasty git of a husband.

Of all of it, I was most riveted to the screen(whenever Ryo was on, but I'm biased) when Kento and Mia were talking. _That_ made me feel a connection between characters. Well done! And between Ryo and Rowen. Don't fall back on the pre-set Ice Queen and Lone Wolf images for Sage and Mia if that's your pairing! Let them have their own connections like with Kento and Mia or with Ryo and Rowen.

Long review, yes, but I really think this could be a very cool story. Of course there isn't much here yet. I will await more eagerly. Your writing is clear in that when a character moves from here to there, I know where 'here' is in relation to 'there'. But don't let it be predictable! If you aren't sure if it is, it probably is. Is it? At the moment, I'm not actually certain this will end up S/M, and that's a good thing. (*fingers crossed* Kento Kento Kento Kento Kento!) Keep going!
