I really like this! (: You, sir, are very good at keeping the characters IC. I'm actually highly impressed, haha. Although I knew they weren't going to die, and that there must be someone behind this (didn't think of Espo and Ryan, but I KNEW Castle set it up), I was still pretty spooked when Castle said he saw a face over her shoulders, haha.

Anyway, this is lovely. The only thing I picked up on is:

"That's not funny, Kate"

Just need a period after Kate. :P Have a lovely day.

I was totally freaked out there until Ryan and Esposito came in, then I was confused, then she said the thing she did about Castle setting her up, and I laughed. Best Halloween story I have read so far. :)

This was great.

I loved how you had Kate NOT want to go to the haunted house that Rick was suggesting they go to. I also liked how Ryan got interested in it as well, much to Kate's chagrin. In the end, Kate did go with Rick to the haunted house.

You did an amazing job with them as they went through the place. They were both getting scared and I think it was starting to get to Kate as well. That probably lead to her telling Rick that she loved him. Then I was surprised that the boys came tumbling down the stairs. That was priceless and it showed that Kate was set up.

The ending was great especially Kate's warning to Rick at the end.

Idk why but for some odd reason I knew it would be Espo and Ryan lol. Good story though :)
