This is just oozed humor with the right dose of adorkableness. I love your Derek portrayal as well -I think you have his character pretty spot on. Some stories have him being way to cold and 'unemotional' for some reason, and it does not add up in my head as accurate. Grumpy and kind of awkward at expressing himself is more his style I think (hahaha). I mean the fact that it was not made clear that it was a first date is probably because Derek didn't outright say it because he couldn't express it clearly (or at least that's how it goes in my head). The rest is all on Stiles and his distracted self for not noticing sooner. (Also, I like that Stiles wasn't completely oblivious to the point of it being a duh, but more of a I suspect but I am not going to dwell on it for long thing. And he called Derek out on his sexist sentiment and made it clear that Stiles is on fact, a guy. He was just Stiles-y.)
In conclusion, I loved it and your style of writing has me pretty hooked. :)
