I was never big on Rahal and Roog, and still think Lun's friendship and subsequent entry to the Dragon Cavalry an odd subplot, but I always like reading people's take on Miakis' viewpoint.

The last half is bittersweet, probably because we all can relate to that feeling where people you once knew grew, and it reminded you how much time has passed. Roog is...strangely endearing, for lack of a better word.

I kinda want to see Miakis' interaction with Lun and Craig. They'd certainly affect her as much as the two.

Wow! This story is terrific so far. It feels like it'd fit right in the game, and everyone is really in character. It's easy to imagine Miakis feeling this way, and then her feeling out of touch even among old friends. It's true to life. I'd like to see how this pans out, so I hope to be seeing an update on this. This is one of the best SV fics I've read in awhile.

One thing I like about Suikoden is that a lot of things are left "off camera" so to speak. We see the bright and cheerful Miakis, but we all know that deep down inside she's hurting and puts on a show to keep everyone else in good spirits. She's something, that Queen's Knight.

You capture the characters so well. I love Roog and Rahal's interactions with each other and with Miakis and Lun. (And Rahal's one of my favorite characters so I looooooooooooooooooooooooooo ove reading about him). I look forward to reading more of this story.

This is awesome. And I meant it. I've wanted to read about Miakis' personal struggle the whole time, hinting it in my works every now and then but can never actually write it like I want. Then you came up with this. Brilliant.

You've got pretty good characterizations, with Rahal's sharp observation and Roog's unusual perceptiveness (but also comic relief...hit the wrong nail, eh?). And ths line makes me laugh.
"though I've repressed memories of your battle stance. It never seemed to end well for me."
Between Rania and Miakis, Rahal seemed to get bullied a lot by girls. Ah, now I wanna write their childhood.

She seemed pretty bitter when she couldn't become a Dragon Horse Rider that Craig finally decided to send her out to have her use her talents. It must be very unfair to her, not only having her position replaced but also looking at the same girl getting so close to what she dreamt of.

I look forward for the next two chapters. I'm not sure whether you'll resolve the tension between her and the trio, or you'll get her accepting what she has now. Either way, it'd be a fun read.
