Only just discovered this story and as I'm in bed feeling poorly I read it straight through in one go. Everything about it was right, the humour, the storyline and the characters. Thankyou so much

I liked this story very much. So many great little moments and all of them viewed from inside of Jane's mind. I wish I could mention them all in this review but it is impossible because they are so numerous.

The end of ch 2 was probably my favorite: J & L take turns in getting the upper hand in the charity auction. When Jane finally leaves Lisbon and the event it is so smoothly that it leaves Lisbon wanting more. Then there's the revelation that Jane didn't have other choice but to leave, otherwise he would have crossed the invisible line and wouldn't have been able to hold himself under control. Very nice!

Jane scrutinizing Lisbon's every mien and move in Ch 4 and adapting his own approaches accordingly was well written and it was a real treat to read.

In ch 5 Jane is spontaniously trying to save Rigsby and Van Pelt in the restaurant before Lisbon realizes the nature of their relationship. It showed once again how much goodness he has inside. And later how astute Lisbon is in spite of his cleverly attempted deception.

The silent conversation about Jane's decision to take off his ring in ch 11 was really sweet, I could easily see them in my imagination. Sometimes no words are needed indeed. The whole ch 11 was so so good! I liked it how you got them to this point: "You were lucky tonight but what happens if one day I don't get to you in time? Huh? How do you think that'd make me feel?" "I don't know, you've never told me,". Loved it, and Lisbon confessing her love later that night.

In ch 12 Jane sees all the beauty in his Lisbon while she doesn't allow herself to recognize or accept it. All the love conveyed there and after leaves me feeling happy. Thank you for this lovely story, Katrina!

I am enjoying this story and sorry I don't review more often but I jump to the next chapter without doing it because it's such good reading. Always grateful that you keep writing for the mentalist your characters are so accurate in what they say and do. Thankyou

Amazing! This is truly one of the best stories I've read here. I literally could not put it down and ended up using a half day to finish! The voice and persona of your spot on. I loved it!

Perfect! I usually like more graphic stuff after it's been built up for so long, but this does fit your story and it's enough details (although I wouldn't have been against more information on the use of those handcuffs..)
I see you haven't finished Teresa's POV and haven't written here for a while. That's too bad, but I guess real life or lack of interest got in the way, which is completely okay either way.
