Man, I really enjoyed this, not many really good Love Hina stories where Keitaro is a Badass and doesn’t take any crap from anyone; especially the psycho nutjob residents of the Inn.

As awesome as Badass Keitaro premise is, my willing suspension of disbelief died when he pulled a gun... in Japan. As much as I love the land of the rising sun, gun laws there are a bit... shall we say... STRICT? So much so that only very well off or very determined and VERY connected people have them (barring criminals, and even then most street gangs default to knives/clubs/etc rather than guns) and you are limited typically to manual operation firearms (levers,pump,bolt,break,etc) of fairly limited magazine capacities rather than the semiautomatics with 20-30 rounds we typically take for granted here in the west.

This is not to say I dislike the story (on the contrary, I think Dis gon be gud) just that well, this fic doesn't take place in Japan so much as The United Prefectures of Japerica at this point.

The Mythbusters did this show on the Exploding Boiler, and it was a matter of all of the modern safety features failing completely.

However, most of those features did not exist in 1927.

Yeah. The mythbusters proved that a boiler can explode at the bottom and be propelled up like a rocket (honestly more like a missile) with enough force to blow clean through at least two floors of a house. Which is fucking awesome to watch btw, would highly recommend watching a clip of it.
